Hello and what is happening all my Thinkers! How are you all doing today?
Today I wanted to bring you a build I have been working on for my lovely necromancer. As I have said in the past more than a million times I have an overwhelming urge to play the necro as a pet class, even if it is not the best at GR pushing. So with that being said I really wanted to get a build which could do something over T13 including as many pets as possible and also around the spell revive.
Well here it is! I have done GR83 with it and as my paragon grows I know it can do much higher.
This build allows you to have a maximum of 27 pets out at a time and man do I love it. Please everyone who decides to try it give me some feedback to let me know what you think.
Skills:
Bones Spikes - This is simply your Essence Generator for those times when you run out of health globes. Can be used as a filler for the low down time you might find.
Skeletal Mage - Using singularity for the stronger mages also to proc the 6 piece Rathma's bonus
Command Skeletons - Freezing grasp to proc Krysbin's and also as a CC
Decrepify - CC as well as used to proc Krysbin's
Revive - using Oblation for higher damage from revived minions and making it cost health to cast to allow for casting with 0 essence. This spell also procs our passive for health orbs when consuming corpses
Bone Armor - CC, Damage reduction, Krysbin's ring proc, and a little extra damage
The biggest thing here is that we are using revive to consume all corpses on the ground in order to spawn more health globes. Each health globe gives us essence based on our reapers wraps. This means you want to be casting revive even when you have a full 10 minions revived in order to spawn more health globes and get more mages out.
After your initial skeleton mage is spawned you do not need to wait for a full essence globe to cast another. Make sure you keep 4-8 mages out at all times even if they are not a full cast. this boosts your damage and is mandatory to keep 4 out at a minimum.
Game play:
1. Send in Skeletons using command skeleton
2. Cast Decrepify on all targets
3. Summon skeletal Mage
4. use bone spikes to generate a few essence
5. Summon another set of skeletal mages (4 out at this time)
6. Cast revive every time you see corpses on the ground
7. Grab health globes to cast more mages
Ensure you always have you command skeletons skill going to keep the Jeseeth's set proc up for additional damage

i have tested many revies builds too. But i seems that the major dmg comes from the mages and the revives are.. like u said.. just for the ( I just wanna play with as many pets as possible)?
Espacially for me as a Hardcore player i woulnd run the life revives, instead i would use the cold or the physic ones with dmg reduction. The corpse spending mechanic with your globes passiv works as well. BUT in fakt that the revives do so little dmg you just can run devour and have the same effect.
And at least it hard to SEE the dmg that the revies deal, beause there so many numbers and u have to have the skelletons and the mages up at the same time to push the potenial ov the revives. After all the builds i have testet, it just dont feels so rewarding to use them... i skipped back to normal Rathmas mages. Butlets discuss about it. I love pet build and maybe we found another option.
I completely agree with you that the revive minions feel very underwhelming. I don't think this is a long term build, at least not until they make some tweaks and changes to the revive mechanic but my entire purpose was to play around with revive.
Have you noticed the revive minions need an improvement made to their AI? I feel like they are the same as the early WD pets which would sometimes stand around.
I agree you can change out revive for devour but that just doesn't make me happy without all the pet's.
Really we need to wait for a pew patches while the necro gets tuned. I am so upset that the pestilence set is completely useless as well.
Yes. I think the revive minions have a really low aggro range. It would be a funny thing if the revives would be also commanded my command skelletons.
pestilance set ist just a speed possibility...sad. Why they dont add bone spirit to the set and remove or change the 2 piece bonus.
i just thaught about an LON pet build, but its not possible whtout an item like jerams mask for the WD. We cant equip jesseth and no rathmas set. 1300% dmg onto pets will be way to low.
