I don't know what it is I am doing wrong with these blood nova builds. My gear is really good (mostly ancient and exceptional rolls), I'm at almost 1000 paragon and I do the autocast properly. Yet even in T13 I get smoked on every pull.
+1
This is by far my favorite Necro speed-farming build, plus it's an attention-getter in group rifts lol.
Well done bud, keep up the good work.
p.s. I LOL'ed so much when you nearly crapped yourself @4:20
Why not Dark Reaping instead of Spreading Malediction? 1% less damage vs boss, but lots more survivability in rift.
nice build.
Been using this build in hardcore and it is working well. I have less than 600 paragon levels and I am doing T10 just fine. In hardcore Simulacrum is so scary, I do not use it that much. Thank you for this build
I'm having trouble regenerating essence, what is regenerating it?
The devour. You need to autocast it, as when it picks up bodies it gives you more. Also the piece you put in cube, the chest, helps alot
This build requires every single piece of gear that can have it to have MAX CDR. You have to get to like 56% or something so you can keep Simulacrum up 100% of the time. Other than that, you have to be constantly killing things. If you're not basically one-shotting them, you're gonna lose 25% of your health immediately then die soon after lol.
Why not use one phylactery with CDR CHC and Death Nova bonus? you would have more DPS no?
Using Lidless Wall seems like a big dps loss compared with having avg dmg rolls with a phalactory. Understood that there is no good secondary for offhand, but you lose more damage than what 20 phys % gives from lidless wall. Do you prefer it more for the amour?
i have a question, why not use sim with blood and bone thats another blood nova when you drop your Cooldown and a bunch more bursty damage. can possibly try to use that for elite hunting? in theory it seems stronger with another blood nova going off even if you lose out on that 100% krysbin bonus but thats another blood nova which is another 3000% beefy nova
also possibly change frailty to decrepify with borrowed time. to get that sim up more... if my math is... right thats the three blood nova's each doing 750% damage (with scythe) plus the 3300% from trag'oul and still getting that slow damage bonus from krysbin.
i see it being alright i'll have to test it out myself and not just theorycraft but it sounds promising at least
I do like phylactory's in the build as well. Hopefully we'll get something in season 12 that boosts death nova damage
Hey Fluffy, I'm enjoying this build so far, I had a quick question though.
Now, this may be because my gear isn't perfect, but do you have any tips for fighting the Rift Guardian? I'm finding I'm often running out of health before it is dead and cannot do anything but wait for Blood Rush to get a couple more Blood Novas off.
#1 depending on what difficulty you're on i would suggest using Rathma's shield if you're having troubles while gearing for the build, this gives you about a 4 second grace period of BLoodnova spams before it starts to feed off of your HP.
#2 If you are decently geared (trag'oul set + few pieces) i would suggest enchanting every piece of your gear with CDR and Bloodnova damage so you can spam Blood rush on the spot when fighting big enemies like rift guardians and still keep your HP up and your essence up.
#3 lastly my own personal advice would be to use Simulacrum/Blood debt till you have enough of the needed pieces to sustain yourself. givin i've noticed not having Cursed form does hinder the damage a tad. if you don't have Krysbin or scythe then don't even worry since Blood debt will probably benefit you greatly then.
This build is awesome and really got me back into playing the necro (after the mirinae gem got chopped i lots interest in it). I've actually been using it for GR as well. Initially had problems with the rift guardian but then made a few changes. I'm sure you guys have tried this but what seems to work better for me is using the bloodtide blade (extra death nova damage) to compensate for swapping bane of the powerful for bane of the stricken to actually do some damage to the rift guardian. Also found I stopped dying so often after swapping the chest and legs gems from topaz to amethyst for extra vitality. Thanks again fluffy for the awesome build! It kind of reminds me of the same play style as lashing tail kick monk
what about blood tide blade in the cube?
