Build Guide
This is a theorycraft vision for Necro as Boss-killer.
We want to use our generators like duo and tripple gen monk did previosly, however Necro has huge advantage - only 3 elements. This is unique for D3, when monk( and long time ago DH) was designed with 5 elements - there were no CoE in the game. Nowadays monk's CoE is the weakest one dew to the longest rotation. And now devs give Necro only 3 elements - which is pretty imbalanced - Necro's CoE will be the strongest for sure, but with three skills that use 3 different elements - it's just 100% uptime. Now CoE reads: "tripples your dmg"
SO
We use Grim Scythe - Frost Scythe as Cold generator. This rune also gives us 15% as - don't know just usual AS or multiplicative for Scythe only.
We use Siphon Blood - Power Shift - looks like the most DPS poison generator.
We use Bone Spikes - Blood Spikes - just physical one.
Of course - curse Frailty - aura - to help kill mobs in rift.
Bone Armor - movespeed rune - to activate our set bonus and some mobility.
Simulacrum - Reservoir - double our essence = double our dmg.
This skill has 120 sec cd - and lasts for 15. So we will be able to use this 1-2 times agains boss to boost our dmg for 4(poison)+4(cold)+4(phys)+3(posion) seconds of our rotation.
Mb Channeling pylon for boss will be a thing
For passives:
Swift Harvesting - monk's analog Alacrity - 15% multiplicative gen AS
Stand Alone - toughness buff against solo bosses(ideal variant) to prevent oneshots from Cold Snap, Infernal Maiden, Blighter, Man Carver etc.
Overwhelming Essence - monk's analog Exalted Soult - +40 Essence
Final Service - cheat-death - where are any kind of dmg passives for solo target?))))
Ohh, thx) very useful comment) changed rune for poison one, And yeah Stand Alone looks nice vs high dps bosses) changed too.
Spreading malediction is 1% dmg buff againt solo boss - bad.
Rigor Mortis - AS reduction is kinda useles too
Rathma's Shield - was thinking about it, but the only activator for it is Simulacrum with 120 sec cd. Even with CDR in paragon, 8 cdr on shoulders and brilliant in helm - it is Serenity with 90sec cd - FeelsBadMan)))

This build looks very interesting. I threw together a similar one in d3planner here.
Alternates that I used, involve a Dayntees's binding for a belt, as with guaranteed curse application (33.33% chance for each) it appears likely to have a target that gets decrepify, thus giving the 50% damage reduction. APD for bracers, using Bone Spikes to proc the stuns needed gives further damage reduction.
I've been playing around with the passives, and rigor mortis seems like its making a case offensively as applying a slow effect to poison helps apply the cubed necro ring Kryshin's Sentence to our poison attacks. Spreading Malediction is amazing for helping clear groups of mobs (due to aura of frailty, so anything inside 15 yards is cursed, so you could potentially turn that into a +~30% damage bonus before you let loose a poison nova), but against a solo boss or rift guardian bottleneck, a 1% bonus isn't doing much at all.
Mind you I haven't had much experience with the necro yet, so this is likely to change at some point as I play the character and do some testing.
But why you are not using Legers Disdain?
Fang gives you +200% agains cursed enemies - for all you skills, just use any curse. Mb the wording for this affix is bad, but it works this way.
cos your essence will be always full, so no dmg from this.
Ok.. but did someone tryied out this build on higher GRs?
That build dont work well. Look on my buid for rg killer. Done 113 boss in less then 2 min. And 105 in 40 sec
