Build Guide
Thanks to Rhykker for sharing this build with us on youtube!! Great build and I think this will be great even when live comes out. Let's get some comments going to help make this build better.
Hey guys! Rhykker shared some information with me that was useful! Here is a copy of what he said:
Hey guys! Just wanted to quickly hop in here and clarify something: While this is my build guide, I am not the original creator of this build. I tried to track down the original creator, but all I found were people arguing over who truly created it first.
To answer some questions: you want cold damage on wrists and amulet; corpse lance deals cold damage and will be the most significant damage source outside of mirinae. Area Damage is not important for this build.
Thank you to Daleme2 for sharing this video here!

Why Decrepify? Using Trag'Oul's you are pretty much guaranteed to have Decrepify already out there to proc the belt, aren't you?
You have to have the skill (Decrepify) assigned in order for it to proc. Similar to monk Liliana's Set. Your auto attacks won't apply exploding palm unless you have selected exploding palm as one of your skills.
Also, the Decrepify rune we are using (Dizzying Curse) is another reason we need it as a skill. Cursed enemies have a 10% chance to be stunned for 2 seconds when hit.
This build is toughness build. You'll be in the thick of things; in melee range. You need a lot of toughness and stunning helps, especially paired with the belt giving you 40-50% increased damaged reduction. But Decrepify won't be on targets unless you have it as a skill.
Sorry for talking in, somewhat, circles. Hope this helps.
(This build is by Rhykker and all props to him!)
That's not true, the set works correctly without slotting the relevant skill. As with Uliana's, the only reason you would place the skill on your bar is to make the proc version apply your preferred rune, as without having the skill slotted (Decrepify, for example), the proc (Cursed Scythe) would only apply the base version of the skill.
Ah, that makes sense. But you'd still need it slotted for the belt to process correct?
Good to see a variation of the Pale Rider build. Props to Rhykker and his team. Was cool to see more then just myself coming up with this variation all within a week of one another!
so you can get the rune effect
If I have Trag'Oul's Corroded Fang in primal ancient perfect stats, wich off-hand could I use? I'll put the Shadowhook in the cube instead.
Why dont change weapons cube <-> hand to use secondary weapon slot?
No stats downvote
It might not be as useful depending on how long you can keep the status up and how much running around you do, but wouldn't you possibly get a significantly higher dmg output if you did something like take off Endless Walk, actually wear Wisdom of Kalan, equip a Hellfire with a passive of your choosing, throw RoRG in the cube, equip Blinding Faith with a ~40% blind proc, and then drop Decrepify from your bar to any other skill of your choosing? Trag'Oul's Corroded Fang should always put Decrepify on your enemy within a couple seconds at most for the damage reduction. Not to mention the fact that Blind Faith should keep quite a bit of damage off you during setup anyway since blinded enemies just stand there doing nothing.
Do you have any stat priorities on the gear?
So what elemental stat are we using for this build? In the video Rhykker says none, and he says to explain why, but he doesn't eventually.
If you check @ leadersboards, overall you see people using Cold elemental stat...?
With Decrepify on the skill bar, enemies will always be affected by it when it is cast. As there are 3 actual Curses skills, Trag'Oul's Corroded Fang will have a 100% chance to apply 1 of 3 of those skills, which means decreased odds that Decrepify will be the Curses skill that is applied. Decrepify on the skill bar makes those odds 100% instead of 33%.
Yes, that's because they all see that corpse lance is the highest damage skill of the build and its using cold rune. The reason I would think that he said not to is because you only use corpse lance when you are in land of the dead which has a long cd meaning its not very useful since you rarely cast it. He said in the video that the gems are the highest dps so you will want attack speed to help the gems go off more often and more defense to survive. The other skills are mainly for spreading curses or helping gems proc not dps so would be kinda pointless to buff there dps. I would probably go with trifecta rings/ammys (as+chc+chd+socket) then loh or armor on bracers instead of element damage since it seems like it would be more beneficial but the choice is yours. As far as checking the leaderboards I jsut did ant the person at the top atm has no element dmg % on there gear. I even exported there setup into a char planner so you could see for yourself and so that everyone could get a general idea of what stats they wanted. To see this click Here
Since the main damage is coming from a generator, do you think swapping pain enhancer for a simplicity strength will be better? or is the bleed + 6 piece just that good?
He has pain enhancer for both the bleed and attack speed. The set bonus makes the bleed damage from the gem insane so best to leave it alone and besides the damage from the generator is small (its used for applying curses not the damage it does). The main damage of the build is from leg gems and it explains all of that in the video. Below is a link showing the top person on the us leaderboards using this build for anyone who wants/needs to see what stats to use.

Could you explain why you recommend Reilana's Shadowhook? Since it buffs bonespikes and not cursed scythe.
No, it gives you more essence when you use bonespikes but it buffs all your dps in general for every point of maximum essence you have. You shouldnt be using essence much at all in this build anyway because you only use the spenders when they are free to cast which keeps your aquila up. So generating more is kinda pointless but the dps boost you get from it is where its at.
