Alright! First thing's first.
You can choose if you want to wear Zoey's Secret or Hellcat. Whichever has the highest percentage and best roll.
Make sure on Hellcat that it's 5 bounces, very important.
You can switch out Bane of the Powerful for Esoteric Alteration for more toughness.
ALL GEMSLOTS SHOULD BE ALL RESISTANCE GEMS, UNLESS YOU CAN HANDLE MORE DEX!!
I will show the playstyle I use and how it works in the video down below
Movement Speed |
Primary Stat |
Vitality |
Maximum Resource |
Critical Hit Chance |
Critical Hit Damage |
Cooldown Reduction |
Attack Speed |
Resist All |
Life |
Armor |
Life Regeneration |
Area Damage |
Resource Cost Reduction |
Life on Hit |
Gold Find |
Just follow the priorities as they are from 1 to 4. Nothing to add really.
CDR gives you newer and fresher Sentry's to slow the enemies with.
The Polar Station procs your Cull of the Weak. Bear that in mind!

What potion do you recommend?
Doesn't selecting a rune on companion do nothing, like how Shadow Set works? it's just cosmetic at that point for the wings.
On the build you put Vengeance with Seethe but in-game you were using dark heart...I'd assume that dark heart is the viable option? Don't see seethe being all too useful over having 50% damage reduction lol
And why evasive fire with focus over grenade with tinker or cluster grenade? Does the 7 Hatred proc for all 3 hits of evasive fire?
My last question...haha sorry. Paragon priorities core you listed it as Movement speed, dex, vit, and then max hatred. Dex (I think Vit too but I don't have game open) never maxes out so when are you suppose to build hatred? Just when it feels needed?
Nice guide tho, and I subbed on youtube, hopefully you'll be putting out mostly Diablo 3 for a while
I have a non-ancient Manticore with 80% Multishot and an ancient Manticore with 65% Multishot, which one should I use?
Selecting a rune on the animal companion doesn't do anything different. If you have a rune selected, all active effects still activate.
Dark Heart would be a viable option if you are dying too much, but if you aren't needing to worry about dying too much then the extra hatred from Seethe would be better than Dark Heart.
I don't believe the evasive fire rune procs on more than one minion. I would use Grenade with either Tinkerer or Cold Grenade rune.
With the paragon points, in the main section having the maximum resource at the bottom means that it is not needed so there is no point in putting the points in that section. Although if you are feeling a little squishy you may want to put some points in Vitality.
i have the proper quiver but it is not allowing me to spawn 5 sentries. is there something im unaware of or is this just something that no longer works?
disregard, i figured out what i was doing wrong
What's the fifth passive on hellfire would you recommend?
thanks for the build, bro....very helpful
Wow!!!
Great Solo Build! Thanks alot man
I suggest Perfectionist or Numbing Traps as 5th passive.
1 thing I cant figure out is why builds like this use evasive fire w/ focus rune. It doesnt slow or chill mobs to proc cull the weak/BoT and its cold not fire meaning its not getting the dps from +fire%. I could understand this choice if you were using iceblink because then it would trigger BoT/CtW but you are not and so I just cant see the logic. If you really feel you need that much focus generation you could use entangling shot with the fire rune which gives you the same amount of focus as evasive fire + focus but also slows the mobs which will in turn allow you to proc bane of the trapped and cull the weak. Furthermore you could use something like grenade for the explosive area damage with the tinkerer rune (not as much range as the others but much better dps on groups and still the same amount of hatred generated). Dont get me wrong I am not bashing the build but I am just confused on why you chose that skill+rune is all and none of the other people I have asked seem to have the answer.
Evasive fire is silly, yes. But so is Entangling Shot. Cold Grenades does a MUCH better job of slowing down enemies, while also dealing more damage due to Hellcat Waistguard. I agree with Tinkerer if you want more Hatred Regen though, such as if you are running Dark Heart over Seethe
I do agree that cold grenades are more effective at slowing but they dont have the range that you get with entangling shot which is important when using Zeis. This is why I figured they went with evasive fire because its got long range which keeps Zei's Stone of Vengeance dps up. The grenade dps is nice when the belts ability procs but it doesnt do that all the time (thats why it says that it has a chance to bounce). Where as Zei's Stone of Vengeance isnt based on chance and can be upgraded to make it even more powerful. As an added bonus having that range will keep you out of reach which is always good especially when dealing with allot of those painful affixes the elites have (pain can often lead to death and that isn't good for you).
