Build Guide
Hellfire passives - sixth sense, near death experience or unity
You want a GOOD hellfire neck or a immunity neck with CDR, health globe and toughness.
You want either Band of rue chambers in cube or immunity neck, either is good.
with immunity neck in cube you want atk speed on weapons.
Diamonds in armor
Amethyst in weapon slot
You want Health globe and potions grant ++++ on your feet, chest, shoulders, neck and both your rings
you want to get as much ALL RES as possible basically cause you are stacking so much health globe that you wont get enough through harmony.
Interesting build, very immortal, but why are you running iceblink? Nothing you've selected will proc it's slow and therefore you don't seem to have a way to chill enemies. Did you mean to select Crippling Wave Tsunami or am I just missing something? Epiphany doesn't do damage and it doesn't modify your skills to be cold and I see no other cold abilities? Thanks.
any viable alternatives to little rogue / the slanderer for weapons?
Do you know what changed that made it go back to Leoric's over the previous Laws of Seph from the 2.4.2 build? And also the switch back to Esoteric's over Toxin gem?
Statistically, it is estimated to take 40,000 blood shards on average. If you simulated 100 attempts at spending 64,400 blood shards, you should get it 80 times.
I actually got the Star of Azkaranth this season before getting the Band of Rue Chambers but statistically the Band is slightly less rare than the Star.
Thanks for this build, it looks great! :-)
I did have a question though. What pieces of gear should be prioritized for LPS and Health Globes Bonus to buff up your heals. Or did they make that not worth it anymore vs other stats? ;-)
3 Gems should be Toxin, Ice Blink and Esoteric. The Dmg increased on Toxin stacks with other Toxins. Though if you run with a zdps Wizard then you can take off Ice Blink for Gogok.
Gear: roll Life regen on Pants, Bracers if you can. Inner Sanctuary - Safe Haven can benefit from those Life Regen.
Passive: Seize the Initiative in place of Harmony. You won't benefit from Harmony as much since most of your secondary slots are dedicated to Health Globe Bonus. Both Weapons cannot roll Secondary Resistance. You are left with 5 slots to have secondary res in and it does not make that big of a difference. My zMonk is sitting at 1800 res on 4 elements, the rest are 2100 without Harmony (and everything is 2100-2200 with Harmony). Granted with higher push like 100-105+ you might need that extra resistance but pushing at such high GR, you need a bit high paragon as well so your HP won't be as low.
Other than that, solid build.
I have not looted little rogue or the ring, are there alternatives I can use in mean time?
what paragon is needed for this? im para 588 and i die instantly
One last thing, should I prioritize Life Per Second on any pieces? If so, what pieces, thanks ;-)
Question:
Are ancestral objects combined with emeralds or diamonds?[/pre]@bloddyrage
Do you prioritize Life per Second / Regeneration on any piece or does that affix pretty much get ignored?
Also, the huge amounts of Life on Hit, is that just for the monk's survival or is that somehow helping your allies as well?
Also, you say we should get as much AR as possible, but you you have it recommended only on a few pieces of gear. You put Armor + or Life % instead. You may want to update your recommended affixes for all items.
great guide i hope you update this always each season
You're not running a 6 piece set inna's. I'm confused on how to this build is doing Gr 100+
The build doesn't need the 6pc Inna's bonus as your damage is irrelevant; its all about keeping the DPS players in your group alive (usually FB witch doctor and Rainment/Shenlongs Monk) so they can decimate the mobs and elites. You stay close the the DPSers and pop inner sanctuary underneath them whenever they set up, and keep them alive by having Epiphany up 100% of the time and spamming Cyclone Strike whenever they are taking big hits - arcane beams, molten pools etc - you need a minimum of 200000 Heath Globe bonus for this to be effective in higher rifts. Gearing for it can be tricky, you need good gear with the right rolls, but playing it is much easier than the zDPS barb role, and when you don't have high enough paragon to be effective in a DPS role it allows you to get into much higher GR's as a group. I'm paragon 1250 and have this monk, and I run high 90's with players 500-600 paragons higher without ever dying and keep them from dying too - most of the time!
That explains it. Thanks.
Can you explain the caldesasnn choices please? i see that top players use vit and int as well. Hoy can i know which one i should i use?
helm gem is diamond?
Why no life per second? Wouldn't stacking that boost the healing from Inner Sanctuary?
Is this build ok if i push duo with a multishot dh (nonseasonal) at patch 2.6.6?
