Build Guide
Overview
With the new Hellcat Waistguard belt in addition to the buffs the M6 set has gotten, this is probably the second strongest solo DH build after LoN FoK right now. Compared to the dominant builds of the past few seasons, this is more a hit-and-run playstyle again and can be a refreshing alternative without giving up a lot (it’s maybe 1 tier or so weaker).
Itemization
Since the Marauder build is fairly squishy, you should go with as much defense as you can get while trying to maintain a good damage output. You don’t need Sentry damage on your items, you can even roll it off your quiver if you get a really good roll. Try to get some area damage (preferably on shoulders, quiver, rings), stack crit chance / damage and elemental damage wherever possible, and roll CDR on 3 items (preferably shoulders, gloves, quiver). Fill the rest with defense, and perhaps attack speed on your weapon.

Playstyle
Don’t care too much about your Sentries, they are only there to buff you and slow monsters. Just set them up so that you can cover most of the area with the slow effect, and only look at your own positioning when nuking. Try to stay on the move, start spamming Cluster Bombs 2-3sec before Convention hits fire, and stop again 1-2sec before it hits lightning. Use the rest of the time to pull more monsters and regenerate hatred with your generator, then repeat. Keep up Vengeance and use your Companions before a nuke (wolf), or when you need some additional hatred (bat), or when you are in danger (boar taunt), it’s quite a flexible skill. Other than that, try to stay away from walls, obstacles or edges where grenades can fall off, as the bouncing grenades from your belt will disappear there.
Variations
There’s a couple variations of this build that you can play around with. If you feel like you aredying too much, it might be a good idea to go with Vengance - Dark Heart, this should help inexperienced players espcially. If you want to play this build in groups as a dps DH, you can consider to run with Endless Walk + SoJ, and perhaps also with Reaper’s Wraps if you have a Barb spawning globes for you. Using EW is also a possibility in solo, however you will lose some precious damage from that, because you will probably want to couple it with an Elusive Ring instead. Instead of Sentry – Polar Station, you can consider running with Sentry – Guardian Turret and switching to Entangling Shot – Justice is Served as your generator.

i have 20k armor 800k life and 600-1000 in every resist and i still find myself getting oneshot on gr 80 without any chance of surviving even while trying to kite what can i do to improve on this?
i have the zoeys secret, wraps of clarity and vengeance dark heart for % reduction with diamonds in my pants.
should just do loaded for bear skill for cluster arrow, switch hellcat for garwolf. i did that and the build is more fun too because your damage is instantaneous. possibly less damage though, i dont know
ill give that a go. i mean my damage is insane as it is right now since my gear is pretty good but its just hard to dish any of it out cause im too busy not dying

I like to keep Powerful because it also has a defensive side and Zei's can't be maximized anyway. Grenade generator will deal negligible damage and Evasive Fire is better at pulling, I prefer that. Yes, I'm sure grenades from sentries don't bounce.

What passive would you swap out for cheat death if you wanted to play this on HC?
I have Esoteric to make up for no Dark Heart. Maybe try both together, the damage potential should decrease by maybe 2-3 tiers without Seethe. Not every monster type works, but most do if you can dodge well.
I've been having some surviving issuess so i change evasive fire focus rune to hardened and replaced Zei's stone of vengeance to Esoteric alteration. That way i can at least survive been oneshoted.
So Cluster bombs rune is better then Loaded for bears???
Why dont we use enforcer? Sentries dont benefit from enforcer? if benefits we can swap BOTT because enforcer evertime active ,we dont have to slow mobs...

What changes do you suggest for group play? You mention possibly swapping F/R for Endless walk and SOJ but is there anything else?
@lucianlazer - I thought the same thing. Even though I had most stuff up the the spec above, I was out of Hatred more than I wasn't. Meaning I was casting Cluster Arrow once every 5 seconds (when I didn't need a turret to go down). With Visage of Gunes in the cube instead of the Convention of Elements, I could swap to the Seethe rune and now I have unlimited Hatred. Being able to cast Cluster Arrow up to 5x as much is WAY more than 200% damage.
