Build Guide
Rotation:
- Keep up Energy Armor and Magic Weapon
- Have 3 Tal'Rasha stacks from Arcane Torrent / Teleport / Frost Nova before you enter Archon
- Morph into Archon (this will give you the 4th Tal'Rasha stack)
- Kill enemies with Archon Desintegration (right mouse button)
- Keep distance from enemies to proc your Zeis' / Starfire / Power Hungry
- Try to kill 1-2 elite packs before Archon ends
This is a variant of the known Vyr'Rasha Build, which combines the new Manald Heal with a few range-multilpliers. The damage is just insane - in the video i didnt use Zeis' nor i spent any paragons on mainstat and it absolutely crushes T13.
Update:
- Changed Prismatic Armor to Force Armor to prevent getting oneshot at higher tier GR's
- Changed stat priority on Amulet to Intelligence (instead of Lightning%) due to the Lightning% bug - keep in mind you have to have one Lightning% roll on Bracers whatsoever to make Archon deal Lightning damage
LordFluffy made a great video, explaining the important things of the build in detail. The video can be found here.
Thanks @LordFluffy!
Nice build. I'm enjoying it a lot. I was just getting used to the Firebird when I stumbled on your build. I like the meld of range and melee.
for GR, pushing what should we change?
hi, i gotta question. How you do for appear the desintegrate lightning choosing the rune combustion? i don't get it :/
So like others here, I'm having a problem of sometimes going 5 to even 10+ seconds of doing no damage because, I believe, paralysis isn't proccing. I'm definitely doing lightning damage in Archon form because this problem doesn't always happen, but it happens anywhere between 1-3 elite packs per rift, which is very troubling when playing a hardcore toon.
My question is if Zei's could be affecting this in any way? I know this game has diminishing returns on stuns, so I'm wondering if in some situations Zei's is stunning them enough to prevent paralysis from even proccing on mobs. Do you think this is possible or am I just having bad luck?
Would like to get to the bottom of this because this may be the most fun I've had with a wizard since Diablo launched. Just found out my CDR isn't high enough, which explains why I'm having 10 seconds out of archon mode, so I now have a new goal of getting even more of that stat.
Could you tell me how your archon mode does not contain cooldown?[/pre]
Hi:)
Thanks for the guide! I was familiar with the build but it is a nice refresher. Well done!!
I have a bit of a (luxurious) problem: I have found a primal starfire (yay!) and need to put something in cube. At high grs, in-geom is not that useful, so is there anything I can put in there? Been thinking of the explosive blast orb power for 60% dmg reduction:
- switch blizzard to explosive blast
- switch archon to slowtime rune (cold)
It may help with that pesky beginning of the rift when you are still squishy AF or during those awful new maps of 2.6 with literally no elites and tons of useless paths.
This is an awesome build as I'm working my towards one like this for GR and farming. Out of all my characters this is my go to one. I do love my DH as well. The Necromancer is cool but a pain to get use to. Nice build man and thanks for sharing. One day I hope I'll be able to break the billion DPS range. +1 sick build I agree.
