Great build, thanks buddy!
Thanks F O A K S.
why use apd if teleport isn't using calamity? does it still work using safe passage or is it being procced by the ring?
he is using halo of arlyse which cast frost nova then frost nova procs APDs
Do note that, when using the teleport rune, you can't ignite new targets during Archon. Since your archon will deal arcane damage.
Chantando's+ %Fire on Bracers(or neck) = Chantando's Fire dmg aoe, igniting targets while in archon
The only reason your archon did fire damage when you had fire as elemental % was because you used the vyr's set bonus giving you all Archon runes. Since you now no-longer use that set bonus, archon will deal elemental damage as indicated by the rune you select.
It still works for chantodo's but since you now need 3 different sources of fire damage you can't ignite targets with just chantodo's + magic weapon.
I'm having issues to understand how to survive in grifts 70+
Currently I use molten wildebeests gizzard to get some life reg. Without that gem I have already a hard time at 65
Am I'm missing something?
Just want to give a few tips for some of you that are not familiar to the build. First of all it is really important to roll 19% arcane/20% fire dmg since we are using the Teleport rune of Archon, which is arcane, on top of that, elemental dmg% that matches the dmg type of our Archon rune buffs Chantodo's Wave of destruction. The only reason why we do these rolls is that we want Chantodo's Wave of Destruction to be fire, being a reliable source of fire dmg when we morph into Archon, igniting everything around, but still having that extra dmg from arcane %. The second thing is CDR, you have to have it on every piece of your gear, except amulet. 10% CDR on your mainhand is much more important than dmg%, also you want to have CDR on both of your rings(perf rolls crit/crit/CDR), but if you don't have these perf rolls it's acceptable to have int/crit/crit, never roll off any crit for CDR on your rings if you're not lower than 50% overall CDR. The reason here why we want so much CDR is because of our "The Swami", when Archon stacks are overlapping each other we do insane amounts of dmg and we want them to overlap as much as possible. And the third thing is about gems/skills preferences. Gogok is generally much better than Pain Enchancer, and i'll explain why. What does PE? It just gives you Attack speed, ofc it's good to reset your Archon a bit faster, and providing that extra AS while in Archon, but Gogok gives you much more. It gives you insane amount of CDR out of nowhere, plus 15% AS, and last, but not least the chance to dodge(In other words damage reduction(~20% at lvl 80 which is a lot)). And just few words about the skills. Rhykker is right about the Power Hungry passive, it does boost damage to ignited enemies that you move away from. But the other reason why this passive is used is when you have to fight a lonely elite that is almost dead or the RG sometimes if it's a elite/RG with nasty affixes you can't stay really up close to them(although you have to do your best to stay in the 30 yards range in order for your Chantodo's Wave of destruction do deal dmg) so you have to use your Archon "laser beam"(RMB) from far away getting that extra dmg from the passive. But still, it's a very situational passive and you have a few other options like Blur(if you have toughness issues(most of the FB sorcs use it nowadays)), Unwavering Will(gives you less DR than Blur but gives you a bit of extra dmg, the downside that you have to stand still for 1.5sec(the extra armor and resists will not save you from the RG, but with a well optimised follower you may get some value out of that extra 10% dmg)), and the last one is Illusionist(you will always have your tp up when not in Archon form plus 30% movement speed is kind of nice).
As your follower - it's Templar(you basically don't have any other choice cuz you don't have anyother consistent ways to slow the RG besides getting really close to him which you don't really want to do since the RG will just oneshot you in most cases). My personal gear preferences for the Templar are: Weapon: Eun-jang-do(roll of the dmg type to Lightning to proc Wyrdward) (stat priorities: Lightning dmg/AS/CDR). Amulet: Ess of Johan (You don't have a way to pull monters together so Kormac will help you with that) (stat priorities: AS/CDR). Rings: 1st The Oculus ring(insane dmg buff when you can stay in that lighted circle)(stat priorities: AS/CDR), 2nd Wyrdward(nice stuns)(stat priorities: AS/CDR). Shield: Freeze of Deflection (stat priorities: CDR/Block chance(to proc it more)) and the most important is the token to make Kormac immortal(stat priorities: Block chance). Well that's it, hope it will help somebody!
You have a lot of good info in there but the wall of text is to much on the eyes. Here it is with line spacing!
