Convention of Elements
In my eyes, the combination of Travelers Pledge + Compass Rose + Stone of Jordan (with discipline secondary!) is the strongest that we can have. If you want to play more mobile or on lower difficulties, Focus & Restraint with a Hellfire Amulet (adding Ambush or Singled Out) is the second best bet you have.
Notice the third gem, Gogok of Swiftness. This one saves you two cooldown rolls on your gear and, at the same time, adds toughness and a lot of damage. Attackspeed is pure damage with this. It's enough to have CDR in the helm and shoulder + paragon. The stats that you free up with this can either be used for Area Damage or Attack speed (or just dex, depends on what items you have at your disposal).
Bane of the stricken is probably not better. The increased overall dps of Gogok is around 30% as a rough estimate. a RG on G85 takes 2.5min for me. Stricken would save me max 1.5min here, probably much less. Especially bosses that spawn Minions are horrible for stacking stricken as a ranged DH. So gogok probably wins overall.
The Cube seems to be broken here right now, the Weapon slot MUST be taken by Dawn.
In the Armor and Ring slots you have options. Frostburn can be replaced by Aquila Cuirass and Convention can be replaced by Elusive Ring, so you will end up with an insane amount of toughness (good for Hardcore).
Also, the new quiver "Augustine's Panacea" is not in the list here. I wonder why ... but thats the offhand you MUST have, otherwise the setup does not work.
Always remember: Discipline first! If an item can roll discipline but does not have it, roll it in. Thats the first thing to do. The only exception to that rule is the weapon itself. IF it's got a HORRIBLY low base damage roll, putting that up is better than discipline. but thats really the only exception.
The follower must be equipped with a new oculus ring for the damage circle. However, its not that obvious when to really use the circle and when to dismiss it. Remember, if you use your Zei's buff and Steady Aim, its not worth it to stand in the circle.

Build Guide
Hey Foaks!
(i just cant let this go ...)
This is the written guide that several ppl have asked for. Gameplay wise you can and should make use of the discipline regeneration you get from using Kridershot and Elemental Arrow with the Unhallowed Essence set. You can almost perma spam Vault if you constantly use Frost Arrow. By doing so, you maintain a high offensive buff of the Amulet/Ring Combo even when you move a lot.
Other interesting gameplay hints: frost arrow can actually shoot around corners, as long as you have a monster at the corner and are not demanding of it to actually shoot in a 90° angle after you hit the monster. Just play around with it, you will get a feeling for what FA can actually do. Its mechanics are actually very cool and VERY helpful in many situations.
Also, always try to aggro a LOT of monsters and try to channel them into narrow(ish) passages so you can make full profit from Frost Arrows spreading mechanics.
Use Multishot every 3 seconds for the crit chance debuff on the monsters. Alternatively, you can replace multishot (unless you use F&R) with Caltrops/Bait the Trap. It only adds 10% crit chance but its very easy to track and requires no animation, so you shoot frost arrow more often - resulting in more discipline regen, 100% hatred permanently (good with aquila cuirass) and the buff is active on all monsters, not only the ones that have been hit by MS.
Hope you enjoy that spec. I do like it a lot and actually prefer it over MS these days!
Cheers,
Dunk
Gonna give this build a shoot really looking to try other DH build then the main 4 builds out there.
Also really love the way krider looks loved the thunder balls build from back in the day!
Was also wondering about switching out a gem for iceblink?
Great build for DM. Another great off hand is the Dead Man's Legacy with 75 - 100 % multi shot damage.. I was wondering is their any cap on % elemental or % skill damage?
Iceblink doesn't really help here as the cubed Frostburns and Multishot are doing that job already. In softcore, I'd recommend only stacking the +damage gems as recommended above. BotT and Zei's is for more pure damage, while Gogok provides additional attack speed which again is pure damage in this build.
The Multishot is used to proc F/R and potentially get additional CHC on the mob.
Definitely a build I've considered, but this season has not been kind to me on Kridershots.
I think the damage potential is also significantly higher with a F/R+HFA but that's just me. I'm no theorycrafter, could be wrong.
Is this viable for a T10 speed run under 2 minutes? Or should I try the Natalya's?
I don't think so, I'd expect a 3 - 4 min clear depending on mobs, density and quality of gear.
I would certainly use M6 Multishot or UH Multishot to get the 2 min clear.
Thanks!
Finally something new. The fact that %Cold is now part of Frost Burn legendary affix and can be cubed will definitely help. Now all I need is a decent quiver with max Discipline roll and Ancient Kridershot. No luck so far
True. Been playing DH for years. Never landed ancient kridershot but got a few ancient Dawns.. but being me with crappy luck none of them roll max discipline!!
