Build Guide
In my opinion/experience this build is one of the strongest, most consistent, and easiest to play DH builds for Solo Greater Rifts
Note: I always keep my diablo fans guides updated and current. I will make adjustments to the guide whenever there is a shift in meta! So be sure to check back from time to time and don't forget to up-vote the guide! please and thanks!
HFA Passive = Steady Aim > Archery > Ambush
beginner alternatives
If you are new to DH sentry placement with polar station can be an issue so to ensure full uptime on Cull the Weak and Bane of the Trapped I recommend swapping your fifth passive to Thrill of the Hunt and Polar Station to Guardian Turret
advanced alternatives
If you are attempting to push your limit with the build and have a solid handle on positioning and surviving consider swapping Visage of Gunes to Pride's Fall and Evasive Fire Hardened to Focus, you will drop significant toughness but gain a bit of damage potential.
Drop some of the vitality to resource reduction/area damage, specifically on the shoulders/quiver/glovesConsider dropping vitality on the helm for
Endless walk's is a viable substitution for Focus and Restraint, this opens up a ring slot for elusive ring / soj / or oculus
this will also give you the option of dropping the generator and wraps of clairty in favor of punishment / lacuni or parthans
group variation
swap Cluster Arrow rune to Cluster Bombs, as the support will group things for you
swap Polar Station to Guardian Turret, as the group will proc your Bane of the Trapped and Cull the Weak
other variations; (recommended)
with a nearly perfect zoey's (~9%) you can swap the Visage of Gunes in the cube for the Cloak of the Garwulf you will lose very little toughness, but gain the supplemental damage from the 2 extra wolfs
If you get a really good cold elemental damage neck, then maelstrom should out-perform shooting stars. But all things equal physical should have higher potential.
power leveling gem setup (GR ~60-70)
For fast GR's and efficient empowered rifts for quick gem levels I run a build very similar to this foundation. Changes include;
swap 5th passive to blood vengeance over steady aim/ambush
consider using reaper wrap's over wraps of clarity (depending on toughness/damage requirements)
consider using pride's fall over visage/garwulf in the cube (depending on toughness/damage requirements)
The toughness and damage requirements depend on the player, level of progression, and level of greater rift, I recommend you just play around with some different combinations to see what you prefer.

Steady Aim over archery? Please explain yourself!!:)
Is there any consensus on performance of m6 cluster arrow vs chakram (ease of play, ability to push higher gr's, solo vs group, etc)? I've been running chakram but recently had a decent ancient manticore drop and was thinking of switching to the cluster arrow build. cheers
Hey, I am a noob, have played every blizzard game except diablo, and to be honest I regret it, because I haven't been able to stop since I started less than 2 weeks ago. Anyway my point is, I used this build (not this guide) and everything lines up the same. I couldn't find a Manticore for the longest time, so was rocking a Yangs, at Paragon level 260-280, I was solo clearing GR 40 on my first attempt. Then I got a manticore drop, made sure the stats were good, and I switched it up. Since then My problem is that I am having such a hard time surviving. I mean once I get a few sentries down and am able to avoid ranged attacks I clear the room. But if I get hit once after awareness proc is on cooldown, I am toast. Any chance a kind soul could help me out. (also let it be noted that I still don't have ring for cube, the belt, or amulet recommended, amulet I am working on as it needs to be crafted, the belt and ring just no luck.) Sorry for the ramble here is a link to my profile. Any help would be appreciated. PS. Don't laugh at my rolls, I have been playing less than 2 weeks.

Thanks, i guess the hunt will continue this evening
I really like this build!
But I believe it needs an update.
On Friday, May 20, 2016 Blizzard deployed a hotfix to correct an issue with certain monsters becoming invisible and impossible to target. It wasn't documented, but Taeguk is no longer proc'd by Cluster Arrow, (which may have been a bug anyway since Cluster Arrow is not a channeling skill). In fact, the only Demon Hunter Skills, that I'm aware of, that now proc Taeguk are Strafe and Rapid Fire. Because of this, I have currently swapped the Taeguk for Bane of the Stricken. (Not sure that was the best choice, but...)
the guide doesn't include taeguk... the video is from previous patch where it was included, but there is annotation on the video in the first 10 seconds mentioning the change... and the text guide
if I get a perfect roll ancient dawn, should I bother trying to roll equally well rolled manticore or just cube it instead?
Nice build, I really enjoy playing it.
Mine got only one slight variation, where I cubed a obsidian ring of zodiac for endless vengeance.
I know about CoE great damage boost, but isn't vengeance's damage plus 50% damage reduction all the time something to be considered?
hi, quick question -if instead of Shooting stars, I use Maelstorm and try opt cold damage, would Frostburn be a good substitution for the Garwulf? Overall it is a great build, but i lack in damage big time, however I assume, it is due to crappy items, not so much due to using Maelstorm, since it is 3 rockets for 450 dmg each, instead of 2 rockets for 600 dmg each....
