Wear either Unity or CoE depending on which one rolled better for you and cube the other one. Same with Gungdo and Bindings of the Lesser Gods. Usually means that you cube Binding of the Lesser Gods and CoE because their legendary powers get forced to max when they are in cube but you could get lucky.

The Chinese player didn't have Mystic Ally bonus on any of his gear other than Inna Daibo but I think getting it on your shoulders would make sense. He also only had EP bonus on boots and not helm. I'm guessing he died too much and needed more toughness.

Edit Feb 4th, 2016: GR83 has been completed with this build in NA which is now #1. Notable changes for his build: He ran Mystic Ally damage on chest and shoulders and no EP damage on boots or head. This is most likely because your EPs do good enough damage already but you have trouble on RG and popping EPs without Mystic Ally damage. I can't edit stat priorities in dfans right now because that feature is totally broken right now.

Build Guide

Edit Feb 4th, 2016: GR83 has been completed with this build in NA which is now #1.

Build I copied from Chinese leaderboard season 5 solo Monk player (I tried to put his name here to give credit, but dfans can't handle Chinese characters). At the time of making this guide, he was GR84 with it, 2 tiers above every other player in the world.

Stat and skills are copied from his build and gear but I might have messed something up because it was all in Chinese and I had to make some educated guesses.

I have personally played this build to NA GR77 GR78 to test it at paragon 890 900 with no dex enchanted gear and not full ancients yet, so I think this build is pretty legit. Gameplay is:

1. Group up a bunch of enemies with Cyclone Strike.
2. Get a big Assimilation stack (If EP is dynamic with Assimilation buff like I have been told, then you need to have the buff up as EPs explode and can skip this step. I'm not sure yet).
3. Apply EP on weaker mobs that will die more easily.
4. Stand still for a bit to get Endless Walk damage buff.
5. Wait for Cold Convention of Elements.
6. Activate Mystic Ally and spam Cyclone Strike and hope for the boom (Make sure you stuff have Assimilation buff up at this point because you want your Mystic Ally and EP damage to be buffed).

Some notes:

You do next to no damage with your Cyclone Strike, generator, and normal Mystic Ally attacks. All your damage comes from applying EP and popping them with Mystic Ally activation.

The damage you do on RG is awful. Compared to Inna pet build, which does great on RG, you lose Enforcer pet gem and Flying Dragon so your allies do really bad damage outside of activating Mystic Ally. You have to have plenty of time to kill the RG from clearing fast with this build. Bane of the Stricken is absolutely required because of how bad you do on the RG. This build probably wouldn't be viable without that gem.

Dying is doubly worse for this build than most builds. You have to time your Mystic Ally and EPs exploding with your cold CoE. Unfortunately for us, if you resurrect you always start on the cold rotation and you don't have enough time to set up your EPs and kill things. So if you die you basically need to go and leave your current pull and avoid dying and go somewhere else to align your cold CoE cycle again.

Sometimes your Mystic Allies just miss all your EP marked enemies and it really sucks when that happens. You have to wait for the next cycle on cold CoE in that case.

You have enough CDR for Mystic Ally CD to be over for every cold CoE cycle.

Seize the Initiative is because the Water Mystic Ally activated damage ability scales with attack speed ("Wave Damage [AoE x 7] = 625% weapon damage x Sheet APS" according to Davlok's Mystic Ally mechanics post). Also you generate more spirit per second for EP and Cyclone Strike.

I'm not clear on what the best single target Mystic Ally activation is, but you should activate Mystic Ally during RG fight during the best single target CoE element. I've been currently just doing cold because I have cold damage on bracer and it seems to do pretty good damage.

Save a Dashing Strike charge for when you're in trouble because you will get stuck because of Cyclone Striking enemies all around you.

Holy shit the new Exploding Palm debuff icon is impossible to see.

If you're in the middle of a humongous pack, it's pretty unlikely that your Mystic Ally activation will actually kill something. You kind of need to break up those packs into smaller ones to actually kill something and also not die in all the density.
