KEY ITEMS FOR THIS BUILD! EITHER USE OR CUBE THEM!
Aquila Cuirass, Etched Sigil, Orb of Infite Depth, Deathwish, Hergbrash's Binding, Mantle of Channeling
NICE TO HAVE:
Magefists, Cindercoat, Andariel's Visage, (Halo of Arlyse + Ancient Parthan Defenders)
>>> FEEL FREE TO FILL THE REMAINING ITEM SLOTS WITH WHATEVER ITEMS YOU HAVE <<<
Mandatory legendary gem: Bane of the Stricken - makes it a lot easier against the Rift Guardian.
I recommend using 1 other offensive gem like Bane of the Trapped and either Taeguk or 1 defensive gem like Esoteric Alteration.
If you use Hellfire Amulet then use >>> Audacity <<< as fifth passive
Well, or anything you have. not too important.

Build Guide
I threw together what I had from my Firebirds early season adventures and optimized the channeling build revolving around the new items, most noticeably Hergbrash's Bindings, which makes it possible to channel permanently while even gaining some AP.
Priorities:
1. Keep Orb of Infite Depth's buff up by casting Explosive Blast: Chain Reaction on cooldown
2. Pull enemies together with Black Hole: Blazar
3. Channel Disintegrate: Convergence
Aquila Cuirass, the Orb of Infinite Depth's and your Halo of Arlyse + Ancient Parthan Defender combination and your defensive gem let's you facetank pretty much everything. Move if you have to, try to always hit as many enemies as possible. Also make sure to cast on them until the end, because there is no DoT that will finish them off.
thanks a lot, worked great for me with mediocre gear. First try 15:20, second try 13:00.
the only thing I would really suggest changing is the Bracers, Nemesis instead of APD. You dont need the APD, you can face-tank anything anyway with the normal setup here. My damage was high enough to get some real benefit out of elites, especially combined with the shrine/pylon effects. I was para ~500, ancient weapons with more or less flawless stats, and the rest of the gear was mediocre at best. Helmet & amulet were complete random trash, no hellfire or AV there.
thanks a lot, works pretty good but i think you can afford to change esoteric for taeguk since you are using arcane power all the time
this conquest blows. ive determined you basically have to get lucky with the rift; pylons and more blue elites than yellow.
and of course now i get it, your guide def helped. i rolled different gloves, bracers, and helm just because of the stats. thanks.
Worked pretty well, can confirm you don't need the Ancient Parthan Defenders. Astral presence is also way overkill if you have the hergbash belt and cindercoat. I did it without a deathwish (used a random ancient Burning Axe of Sankis, the one with +15-20% fire damage). Replace astral presence with audacity.
Great guide! I saved for all the pieces from rifts and grifts and 1 shot it. Very easy to play. Thanks a lot!!!
Thanks for this build, it's the first one that worked for me. 14:53 baby!
I changed my bracers to Nemesis and my neck to the poison damage heals you amulet, but those are the only two things I changed.
I've tried this since it looks like it should work based on how I played with Firebird's early in the season, but I just can't keep up with the timer vs the damage I'm doing. Do I just need more ancient items to up the damage? Any ideas what I could be doing wrong?
I've got a similar build but With ice instead. Mainly for group console runs using a group of three wizards. We are on Lower Grifts cause im trying to get them gear for a fire build similar to this one.
can't do shit for damage every time i try this build. it's totally weak.
Build worked great. Didn't exactly have the best items but it worked out to my advantage. thanks!
Thank you for the build, took me a couple tries but after I got the hang of it i finished in about 12 minutes.
Thanks a tonne, build helped, did it first go, with 24s to spare, haha. Realised also at the beginning I wasn't using Convergence...but still made it, just. Also, I used Glass Cannon and Audacity, both helped with the damage output a lot. My PL was 643. Worth noting that I used Ourboros with a socket and Fire Dmg %, so you can get away with not using the HF amulet.
i'm having some trouble with this, i have all the gear, mediocre quality, but i keep dying a lot. any tips?
This build DOES work perfect for me on 641 paragon level. I only changed Astral Presence to Audacity + amulet HF amulet to Ancient Ouroboros even without socket (because it provided me more damage). So I used only Bane of the Trapped + Bane of the Stricken gems, both were 60th level. Also I rolled +20% fire damage on Andariel's Visage instead of critical hit chance. First try was without any optimization with damage about 1 million... Enough toughness but not enough time to kill GR boss. Then I've done optimization for stats as it was mention by author and my second try task was done. Got achievement. Thanks a million dude!
Thanks a lot, the guide + build helped me finally get this Conquest - with 2 seconds to spare *proud*
I switched Deathwish for Wand of Woh, as well as Astral Presence for Audacity as some other have mentioned
Thank you for submitting this build! After I rerolled a couple of pieces of gear to increased fire damage, it worked great!
Tried this build a few days ago, and it worked great! Ran it at about Paragon 445, with only a few ancient pieces. The only modifications I made were to run MW with Force Weapon rather than Deflection and to swap in Audacity for UA, to jack up my DPS a little. Had a pair of false starts with poor density maps which slowed my killing speed, but on a half-decent map I notched "The Thrill" with a little over two minutes to spare.
