I would rank the Invoker Set Dungeon as one of the easiest Set Dungeons, if not the easiest, with the only dungeon coming close in terms of ease being the Demon Hunter Natalyas Set Dungeon. Outside of the core Invoker items you need, I honestly think you could attempt this with yellow rare items for the majority of your other gear as long as you have some toughness and levels on your Topaz/Boyarsky's Chip gems. I did this at paragon 205 on Seasons, with over 2 minutes to spare.

Some quick basic information on Thorns damage for those who don't understand what increases its damage: Physical Skill damage % increase (usually gained from Bracers/Amulet), Primary Stat (Strength for Crusaders), Topaz gem socketed into your weapon, Boyarsky's Chip Legendary gem. Therefor you want to find as much Physical Damage increases as possible, and save the majority of your cooldowns for the 'Physical' rotation of your Convention of Elements if you are lacking damage. Strength is a much greater increase to your damage than increasing Vitality to gain the Legendary power bonus from the Heart of Iron armor.

You also want some Cooldown Reduction if possible to reduce the chance of not being able to cast Iron Skin/Consecration in time if a second elite monster is close by, although it is pretty simple to kite around the elite.

I could envision the Belt of the Trove randomly killing Elites before you cast Consecration/Iron Skin, so if you're having problems use a different belt.

If you're taking too much damage, find an Aquila Cuirass/Justice Lantern for the cube/to wear, and use Akarat's Champion - Prophet rune instead of Provoke. Try to use Bombardment more often/wear Belt of the Trove, change Lord Commander passive to something more defensive, perhaps even wear a Mutilation Guard (if you have one at a decent level).

Swiftmount or the Norvald's Fervor (new 2 Set weapon/shield for Crusader) is useful for mobility but probably not necessary.

Build Guide

Welcome to my Set Dungeons Build Guides!

You can find general Set Dungeon information and Set Dungeon guides for the other classes at my Set Dungeon Thread.

This build focuses on the Invoker Set for the Crusader.

Requirements for Mastery

  • Kill all monsters without taking fatal damage.
  • Get hit by 75 spears thrown by Blood and Moon Clan enemies.
  • Kill Elites while standing in Consecration with Iron Skin active, 5 Elites.

Location: Act 1, Overlook Road. The portal spawns to the very start of the story mode area in act 1, just outside the Act 1 Town (New Tristram). Walk north-east and exit out to (also) New Tristram, then go backwards to Overlook Road, and the portal will spawn there.
