*This build is BASED on Thorns, so you want as much THORNS DAMAGE as possible!,
-
Good Information about HOW THORNS WORKS:

There is multiple good setups for Weapon/Shield, I'd recommend:
a) T10: DB + LW or AA
Solo Push: PS + AA
c) Grift Speeds: DB + AA
d) Grift Push: PS + VS or AA
* Having correct stats is the most important thing! So if your LW is perfectly rolled and ur AA is junk, then use ur LW.
** LW = Lidless Wall (shield) --- BTW a tip for all, if you need a better Lidless Wall, then craft it on a barbarian. Your 8 times more likely to get a Lidless Wall on a barbarian from blood shards and upgrading rares to legendaries with Death Breaths than on a crusader.
** DB = DoomBringer (weapon)
** PS = Pig Sticker (weapon)
** AA = Akarats Awakening (shield)

SKILL ROTATION: Law/Prophet > Iron Skin (Phys CoE) > Consecration > Punish
-
Great Tips / Suggestions for the build:
1. Use Iron Skin and Consecration / Bombardment when you have +200 % Physical dmg from CoE.
2. In order for Belt of Trove to use "Barrels of Spikes" rune you must have Bombardment equipped.
3. Most important part of Belt of Trove, is to keep up the 50 % DMG Reduction from (4) set bonus.
4. ... (make comment if u got suggestions)

Needs to be Tested (feel free to help test):
A) Sanguinary vambracers if they work with (2) piece invokers
B') Hack, if it works multipliactive with strg and how much % dmg increase it is
C) Omnislash belt, see if it makes Punish deal AOE dmg. Maybe even procs Hack.
D) Slash, use rune Zeal. Reaching 3 attack per second, might work with Hack!
E) Voy'Toyias Spiker, See if it works multipli- or additive. Works with skills or not? Better than arats awakening?
F) Iron Skin, if you use it before Consecration, does it work for 4 seconds or all 10 seconds?
G) Snapshot, is Iron Skin / Thorns dynamic or static?
H) Blood Brother vs. The Mortal Drama, which one is the best?
I) Block cap? Do we go way above block cap with Blood Brother?
H) ... (make comment if u got suggestions)

Here is how the game-play of an Invoker Punish Crusader looks like:

With 0 ancients and like mid 600 paragon I did 77 on Saturday night of the season. You just need to skip ALL whites. They are worthless. Run after every elite and group them up and only kill yellows ideally. Blues suck and yellows you only need to kill the main one for the progress. Whites will die while you kill the yellow.
Also use Blood Brother not Furnace and Nemesis not Heart of Iron. Maybe later on with really good gear, but blood brother was too strong for pulling multiple elites and just face tanking. You want to pull enough mobs to have 100% uptime on Iron Skin and Law and Akarats.
First of all disenchant bombardment from your shoulder. Second - i don't understand why people prefer spiking barding instead of a endurance rune on steed charge. It won't do any considerable dmg when one more second of mobility can win you a rift.
Ok it's what i thought.
I started enchanting properties and i have a few questions about preffered stats.
1. Why do we favor CDR over AS? More attackspeed is more stacks of 2pc and more 600% hits from 6pc
2. Is VIT favored over LOH & AR?
3. On my boots, is LPS better than movespeed?
4. Does "increase punish damage by 15%" worth anything? I assume it doesn't count the 6pc and since my weapon damage is 366... (rolled it off for CDR)
6. And finally, does area damage work with thorns, or with 6pc bonus damage? because if not i can't see it having any use
Sorry for the tons of questions i just don't want to regret any mistake that is unchangeable
Wow thanks for the quick response man!
I just got a ramaladni's gift, does that mean i can just reforge my extra pig sticker and put a socket in means of getting a perfect weapon?
And i find it really hard to decide between vit and LOH because of Heart of Iron. I guess i take vit over AR when possible and LoH when possible. I am still GR50~ so i got time untill it REALLY matters but it's nice to be prepared already
Thanks for the replies, now i have a final question for the next 20 GRs hopefully
Do you use a follower when soloing? I use the templar and i have a feeling that he slows me down because he distracts the mobs
C) Omnislash belt, see if it makes Punish deal AOE dmg. Maybe even procs Hack.
I can tell you now that doesn't work because the belt only works for
slash not punish. The belt will make it so when you attack with slash it goes out
to all 4 sides (front, back, left, right,). You dont get any extra wrath
even though it attacks on all sides and it will work with whatever rune
you use so it may be useful if you are using the rune that gives you
attack speed or armor fro each person hit (zeal and guard runes) but its
not enough to beat the dps bonus you get from belt of the trove.
I use exactly your items and skills but have survival problems. I am not a crusader player before this season, but I dont stand in poison pools or nasty stuff either. I wonder if it is better to swap the Bane of Stricken with Esoteric? Maybe another shield?
hi everyone im new here
someone can explain me how to improve? because can't go over gr70

So looking at all 3 variations of this build on Drahque's Ultimate Guide, it's all using Hack over Pig Sticker, is Hack now the preferred weapon after this build's been out and tested for a while now?
I'm using ancient Aquila, but today I looted nice ancient HoI with good thorns, str etc. rolls, save for crappy 263% affix. After wearing it I noticed 7-8k thorns increase in stat tab. Can I safely wear it or am I missing some hidden thorn multiplier that would make AC better?
you use both Aquila and heart of iron since you need both the thorns and the defense. 1 should go in the cube while the other gets worn and normally you would want the HoI in the cube because it makes thorns go up by 300% of your vitality. However if you ever have any doubts because perhaps you found a nice HoI that increases other stats what you would need to do is look at your stats while wearing the aquila with HoI in cube and take note of your thorns (write it down if needed). Then swap the armor you are wearing for the HoI, swap armor in cube for the Aquila, and look at your thorns stats again. Whatever setup gives you the most thorns is best and for me that was aq but perhaps you might have found a better HoI then I did.
Increasing the punish damage will help a little becasue you do use punish quite often with this build but thorns damage is probably the better bet if you can get it since most of you damage will be done with thorns anyway.
First of all if you have ancient Aquila or HoI you better save it for LoN build, which is strictly superior to this one.
Second - punish deals virtually no damage, thorns on other hand deals plenty.
Hi, I'm new here & d3...i wonder how am I to have both Consecration & Iron Skill both together while both fall under defensive 1 category?
By default you forced to use only one skill in every cotegory. Just choose elective mode in options to unlock your skills an voila u have full freedom.
Esc>Options>Gameplay>Elective Mode.
