Build Guide
This is my rework of the old Holy Shotgun build using updates and new items coming in patch 2.4. As with the old build, you want to try stand as close to enemies so that all 3 beams will hit them, especially for elites and rift guardians. What makes this build differ from the old is that it uses Ivory Tower which will now also release 3 beams EACH time you block. So to get the most out of it you want to take as much damage as possible from blockable attacks. This is why the build is set up to be extremely tanky as well. The build shines when you master positioning and knowing which attacks will trigger the most blocks. Fire Chains for example will turn you more into a gatling gun when you stand in them. Bracer of Fury is also an addition to the build which requires you to blind/immobilize enemies to get max damage. So again, the build will shine when you can master the timing and positioning of your blind/immobilize.
The build is a work in progress and I will update as things change. I feel it is capable of 80+ and at the time of making this completed a 76 with it. It is easily the most fun build I have played as the Crusader and hope you enjoy it as well. Thank you for checking out my build! To see it and other Crusader builds in action I welcome you to check out my live stream at http://www.twitch.tv/xiegGG.
Sorry if this is a dumb question but what exactly are the Bracers of Fury and Shield of Fury? I'm still mildly new to Diablo and have never seen any such item.
They are two new Crusader items coming in the next patch. I have their description under the items section.
Thanks for the quick reply. What shield and bracers would you recommend until then? I'm using a Storm Shield right now just because its been the highest block % one I have been able to find (34%) along with a -27% melee reduction. For the bracers I just keep switching around to whatever is better stats as I can't seem to come across any that add to the build.
The shield and bracers are definitely vital but until you get them use what will give you the most damage. Get %block/cdr on shield. If using stormshield you could swap your belt to a Witching Hour if you have one.
