This build focuses on the best of 2 builds, having Yang's Recurve and Cindercoat gives you great hatred cost reduction but not spammable yet.
therefor you should aim on resource cost so you can keep multi-shot up 95% of the time.
On the hellfire amulet you want Ballistics or any of the currently selected passive and pick ballistics.
Reason why i chose to use marauder set is because of the sentry's shooting multi-shot also at a faster rate because of Yang's Recurve.
Having 5 sentries with bombardiers rucksack makes dmg output go really high. to sum it up,
You, 5 sentries casting multi-shot at 500% dmg buff put you at 3000% dmg which can hit double under 50-60% thats a total of 12 multishots which have a 500% dmg buff putting you multi effectively at 6000% dmg.
And this is not even crit dmg. assuming you'd have around 450% crit dmg it puts your dmg at 27000% dmg if it were 1 multishot cast.

You've got Ballistics listed for both the passive and Hellfire Amulet
Love the build, I've had this same idea that the damage from the Marauder's set with a sentry build/multishot way outshines the other popular builds in terms of damage. Multishot is obviously necessary, and the Yang's recurve boost is vital. Love the focus/restraint choice and the gems. I've heard Bane of the Stricken is only viable if you are playing seasons? Do you agree? Do you really think Vengeance instead of using Preparation with the rune Punishment to restore back hatred every 20 sec (that's without any cooldown reduction added) and essentially boost how often you can spam Multishot?
I've been using a variation of this build with Kridershot in place of Yang's recurve, and I am grifting in the 45+. Granted I only have 4 Ancients, I think this build high surpasses mine in damage and synergy, with all of the focus around Multishot. Using elemental Cold arrow lets my DH stand far back (and slows the enemies for a dmg and cc boost), so I am using Bane of the Powerful, Bane of the Trapped and Zeis. it is a kiting build and the point is to stand as far back as possible (50 yards is the goal) and drop as many sentries as possible to do way more damage. I use Bombadier's Rucksack because I need Calamity in the Weapon slot for the cube, so I don't have to waste a skill on Marked for Death, and everyone in my group gets +20% damage. Don't you think the marked for death buff is necessary to compare to other DH builds in terms of dmg? Also, using bat companion instead of Wolf companion seems like a huge drop in group & solo damage..replacing the need for hatred with Preparation seems like an obvious fix. Awareness in place of Ambush is a nice boost to survival and the Ambush passive really only helps with trash. Multishot should be strong enough to clear them in 1-2 hits anyway. My build is a variation of the Icy Veins build by Deadset the Sentry Cluster Arrow Build with Cold Dmg and Marauders for 2.3. His build is almost perfect, however cindercoat does not account for cold damage, so the build is broken at this time. I made the build he suggested in the comments, a fire/elemental arrow variation.
I think combining these two builds could result in a build that can easily get into the 60+ or even 70+ with a full set of ancients..but that's just speculation. What do you think?
So 1 quick question, why pick the Mauraders chest over cindercoat? When you can Kanai the ring for Granduer and keep best of both. (6 piece bonus plus the +fire damage you get with cindercoat). Is the Convictions of Elements really worth the small time frame for the buff? Considering up and downtimes for actual fights. (or maybe I misunderstand the concept behind that ring).
p.s not being a jerk just curious the theory craft behind it is all
computer glitched and posted twice...
Maybe that's where I am confused, I don't get the concept of the ring. I'll go read some forums on it. Thanks
Yeah that makes sense in that terms. But I notice my build is a bit different from yours, as I don't use a resource regen skill but instead focus more on only casting sentries and multi-shot. In T7 I have about 98% up-time with healing orbs and abilities. Thanks for explaining it
