Build Guide
Game-play
Using this build you should have no problems at all to defeat T7 packs instantly.
Doing so activates your In-geom which allows you to spam Furious Charge without a cooldown.
This allows you to move extremely quickly to the next elite pack, you aim is to kill at least one pack every 15 seconds to keep the In-geom going.
Keep in mind that In-geom only activates if all the minions in an elite pack have been killed.
Missing Fury of the Ancients
If you don't have the Fury of the Ancients shoulders you can make the following changes to your build:
- Call of the Ancients: Together as One to Call of the Ancients: Ancients Fury, You need the fury generation for HotA.
- Wrath of the Berserker: Insanity to Wrath of the Berseker: Striding Giant, To make up for the 50% toughness lost from Together as One.
Packs die too slow
Sprint: Marathon can be replaced with Threatening Shout: Falter for an extra 25% damage.
Using Fire% Gear
Hammer of the Ancients: Rolling Thunder can be replaced with Hammer of the Ancients: Smash but it might become harder to kill elite pack minions due to the smaller AoE range of HotA: Smash.
Nemesis Bracers in inventory
If you want to keep the Nemesis Bracers in your bags instead of Kanai's Cube I recommend using one of the following items instead:
- Gloves of Worship, these gloves would give you multiple buffs while farming.
- Leoric's Crown, An extra 12,5% cooldown reduction, if you think you need more.
- Strongarm Bracers, 20-30% extra damage on everything you charge into.
Efficiency
With additional defensive abilities it would be possible to farm higher torment levels but I've found T7 to be way more efficient.
You can expect at least 350 death's breath an hour using this build. I was able to get 400/h with average gear.
The other barbarian in the video is using this build as well.
Questions/Suggestions?
If you have any questions or suggestions feel free to leave a comment!
I think you will find that Raekor's set with speed items and in-geom in the cube is quite a bit faster than this (assumes you can tolerate Raekor). I get about 75 DB per run in T9 using Sages, 5pc Raekor, Ancient 2h of my liking, HotA for single target, etc.
I've tried Reakor's before building this set, however because this set seemed faster I never optimized the Reakor's set.
75 DB isn't very specific if you're taking longer to clear a rift. Could you take a look how many db you can get in 30min / 1 hour?
I just timed my runs in T8. I averaged 70 Death's Breath every 10 minutes. That nets me 420 DB per hour (this includes down time between rifts).
I'm quite confident I've had closer to 600 in an hour in the past, but these rifts were pretty poor density over all.
My set is not perfect, but I do have a few ancient Raekor's pieces and an ancient Boulder Breaker.
Here's the build I use. I'll try IK again and see how it compares with my current gear. Thanks man!
EDIT: stripped my link. Search for Gnada in the build author section for the Raekor Build I use.
Bane of the Powerful isn't its own multiplier, and is additive with Brawler, %skill, etc, FYI. The elite bonus is its own multiplier without a cubed Furnace or Stone of Jordan/Unity equipped though.
I've been testing between the Raekor build VS IK build over the past few days.
Smashing through T8 I've been averaging about 360/hour using Raekors and with this IK build I'm getting around 400/hour. I use HotA Smash instead of rolling thunder.
Both builds are decent and capable of farming DBs fast however I prefer the IK build. I also found a quicker way (but requires 2 people) is to run TX. I was running TX with a monk friend who was playing a mix between quin and mannercookies pull/heal builds. We were averaging around 550/hours.
