I've been running this build after I got a nice Flense and Denial, with a few changes for HC play. I'm still working on leveling gems/re-rolling for ancients, what is the highest GR you've been able to do in this build?
Since I haven't had a convention of elements drop yet this season, I've been running an obsidian in the cube during group play (F+R equiped) and I find it pretty useful on cooling down my IS, Law, & Akarats.
Also, on the hellfire what passive would you recommend for this build? I've rolled a few with finery so I've been messing around trying different passives but I'm not entirely sure yet. Vigilant seems like a good choice for added mitigation.
Thanks for your response. After re-rolling basically all my gear (im still missing some ancient pieces, legs/gloves/hellfire) I've been able to clear 55 solo with this build. I've probably burned over 1k deaths breaths/forgotten souls trying to roll an ancient golden flense (I managed to cube an ancient furnace that had 40% elite damage booo).
Since the ancient flense wasn't happening, I threw a 2 handed sword into the cube just as a random thing, and on my first ever cubed 2 handed rare sword I got an ancient maximus so I have since switched to the firebash build until I get that flense. I'm going to keep pushing for it as I really enjoy the sweep attack playstyle over the shieldbash style.
