This is the new patch 2.3 lightning natalya greater rift build for demon hunter solo, the advantage of the lightning/healing setup is consistency, the aggressive play-style and ability to take and heal through damage is a fun change of pace,
running fulminator in the cube will require a thunder-fury optimized follower (high attack speed w/ tfury) for bane of the trapped and cull the weak triggers and/or helltrapper as the offhand; additionally, with fulminator in the cube you will want damage on your offhand, preferably ancient
: recent modifications updated 10/9/15 :
to get to 46% cdr i have been running cdr on one ring swapping the cdr from the gloves to vitality for 1k vit (recommended)
you can also do this on shoulders for 15% life moving the cdr to the second ring (less significant)
also recently i have been using fan of knives bladed armor, for the extra toughness instead of the wolf companion (not recommended)
you can also use the helltrapper over calamity to increase the BoT and Ctw uptime through caltrops (recommended)
you can also use polar station over wolf for slows (not recommended)
i keep displacement for skipping elites and bad mobs, but when finishing for GG rift, special recipe is likely preferred
remember to see how it feels for you and try to balance yourself to your own comfort / playstyle
Top tier HFA passives; perfectionist, steady aim, archery (numbing traps w/ helltrapper)
for the leech passive, Life on Kill is available on jewelry, pants, belt, chest, weapons

Build Guide
survival / healing lightning natalya RoV
pull forward, create density, focus crashing rain triggers on high dense clusters of monsters and sometimes elites while continuing to progress forward through the rift, kite in circles or arcs around the clusters of monsters to avoid projectiles while maintaining a strafe:evasive fire rotation and cast RoV as often as possible
higher damage options include changing;
unity for convention of elements,
leech for steady aim,
focused mind for bait the trap,
higher toughness options include changing;
smokescreen displacement to special recipe
wolf companion to fan of knives bladed armor
taeguk for moratorium or esoteric alteration
5th passive to numbing traps with the helltrapper offhand
remember to see how it feels for you and try to balance yourself to your own comfort / playstyle
Wreath isn't great because its a new source of damage, most of the time for nats you just want to buff the rain damage, it is responsible for about 90% of the total damage
Odyn's son only hits 3 targets at a time, not great supplemental damage in AoE/density (i would recommend thunderfury after fulminator, then odyn's last, better than nothing, but not the best)
I did consider switching Zei's but its really just too strong of a multiplier, even tho some monsters are near you, the damage is calculated individually so as you are kiting forward the monsters furthest away are taking increase damage, also it is calculated on the fractions of yards, so even tho monsters are near you they still get some amount of damage increase, also on RG and elites when the crashing rain is doing most of your damage you can take full advantage of the gem, perhaps on seasonal you might prefer to swap zeis over taeguk, (for stricken) as the taeguk offers armor, but zeis so strong, i dont think i'd do that
unfortunately the demon's demise is very lack luster, the spike traps don't hit hard and are awkward to play with, maintaining a fluid rotation on EF:Rain is thrown off by applying the trap, not recommended
vengeance with dark heart wouldn't outperform wolf, the uptime is low and in general you prefer to enhance the rain damage rather than introducing new sources of damage (kinda same idea for spike trap and wreath of lightning gem)
as for the mentioning the shoulders i agree, the cheat death is much less valuable with a survival/healing setup, during the PTR and in the video i actually ran deathwatch mantle, slipped my mind when i made the text guide, updated with that change
what about Bane of the stricken since we'll be using strafe a lot to reset CDs, and Cindercoat with missile strafe in your cube for nearly endless strafe? also take marked for death with the contagion rune?
cindercoat is weaker than hexing pants (resources shouldn't really be an issue) and bait the trap would be better than contagion, but you have to drop focused mind :/
crowd control effects got serious nerfs in 2.3, not recommended
Yo Philo, watching through the vid, I've noticed that you rolled the dmg off of Calamity in favor of CDR.
Does the 2nd weapons damage not affect your damage output, or am I missing something? I've always thought it alternated between hits, for dual wield.
If I only have Calamity via Cube, what should I use for offhand? I currently have Helltrapper and K'Mar Tenclip available and do not play in seasons.
What would be the best way to optimize this for group play? As I rarely play without having friends in my game.
Running an altered version of this build on my seasonal. Lots of fun! Two questions:
1) Gogok for more CDR? I ask because..........
2) ..........While I have a Fulminator, I do NOT have a Thunderfury for follower, so is there a point in keeping BotT and CtW? If not, what can I look at for replacements as far as gems go?
Thanks for posting!
No way. Bind left click to rain, right click to strafe and then Evasive fire to one of your 1-4 buttons. Hold right click, spam the button you choose, left click off cooldown. Way easier than trying to focus on timing and thinking about if your strafe is being interrupted, because you literally never even let go of right click except to run when no mobs are around and just tap it to keep taeguk up.
I'm not Philo but I can chip in on your inquiry. You have 4 big things holding you back right now. Both weapons, as you need the 10% CDR on your main hand and vit over AS on your offhand. Your belt is kind of on the low side (not statistically, but you realllly want to aim for 3950% or more since it's such a huge part of our damage). Your shoulders need 8% CDR as well, but you can't roll of rain dmg for that so you definitely need new shoulders, and your hellfire amulet has a really bad passive as well as low rolls all around.
Another thing I noticed is that your follower is running with Royal Grandeur, which is not going to benefit you in any way. Ideally you want to equip his non unity ring as Oculus ring that has a double attack speed roll on it. Wyrdward is a decent choice after that, due to its stun but you want the AS over the stun on him.

Hello,
I have a gear question for amulet options. Would it be better to run a 16% lightning/cc/chd/socket Eye of Etlich or a dex/cc/chd/socket (awareness) Hellfire Amulet?
Am I losing too much dropping a 5th passive to compensate for the extra lightning % damage and ranged damage reduction?
I can't use Fulminator with the cube. I smashed it in there, but can't actually apply the effect.
Hey guys,
If primal source of damage in this build is RoV, why don't use i.e. lightning Stone of Jordan and Convention of Elements instead of Focus-Restrain? RoV is not hatred spender or generator so there is no benefits for it from F-R rings.
You need to spam Rain o Vengence as much as you can, that's all~
Because Strafe and Evasive Fire fill in the gaps (triggering FnR), you gain all around damage that will ALSO buff your RoV damage, not JUST your spender and generator. I'm guessing this is what the thinking is behind the FnR choice. CoE is mentioned as a cube swap item for more damage, however, so play with it as you will and see what works best for you.
Hello man!!!
Excelent build! Lover it....but I was tried last night and realize that this build has a little problem....I always have low hatred...i don't know if I'm doing something wrong. My itens are not the best, but is very good following the stats priority of this build.
Isn't better Companion bat than wolf? Extra 1 hatred per second could be a good boost.
Congrats one more time on this build!

I'm curious about my set up, wouldn't it be more beneficial to sacrifice the elemental ring and trade for the Royal ring? That way you can get 2 pc of Marauder's Set to get All Companions? I'm still working on some others pieces but not looking good for me. Please let me know any information that'll help.
Actually i use vengeance instead of the vanishing ability it makes the strafe last about close to 35-40 seconds long before you run out of hatrednow the wolf does little to no dmg at all so im testing out new abilities like shadow power i also do not use the gem for more dmg at ranged i either use the bleed gem or the poison gem in its place only playing the Demon hunter for bout 8 days now and already in T9. Also compared to the multishot spec with yangs recurve its very close in dmg but with keeping more hatred compared to running out of hatred within 10 seconds with multishot build.
Also one more thing atm since i have yet to find the pants for the cubed ability i use sash of knives in the armor cube or the grand wolf chest while using the wolf companion. or black feathers for more rockets when being attacked.
