FAQ
Why not In-Geom?
-Better to have Fist of Azst to increase our Exploding Palm, that is where all our >REAL< damage is. With all the CDR we have, it'll be up all the time. In-Geom would be good for Non-Season.
Why not use Sudden Assault rune instead?
-The cool down of SSS is way to long for sudden assault to be really viable, that extra 14 cut from sustain attack is really OP.
Have fun with this build. You can always tweak this build to your liking =).
Hello, solid build overall, but why use mythic rhythm which only profits SSS if such a big portion of your damage comes from EP? Aren't there better alternatives such as Momentum, Determination or even Near Death Experience at this point.
Repeat post... sorry
Uilana's set passive makes the 3rd hit of your Spirit Generator also
apply EP; however, if you do not have it on your bar it will be a vanilla
version. The EP you want to use is the Cold one "Impending Doom" which
no longer causes a bleed but has a much higher Explosion Damage. you
then use Gundo Gear "EP explosion applies EP" to take out entire
groups... the current debate is whether or not to use Madstone "SSS
applies EP" or not.
Thanks, sometimes I need to re-evaluate my decisions, but yes, Momentum would be much better along with NDE. Build is always ever evolving.
I see you are using Essence Burn rune in the build. I guess that's a misstake, but if not then why?
The reason you want to use broken promise is that when you see the first crits on your screen you then press SSS and then all 14 hits of SSS will be crit hits as the broken promise crits for 3 seconds. You can't get more crit damage as you roll it max on each item and crit chance only go so far before you cap it aswell.
So when you play it you just use 1 time dash for the dodgebuff then attack with left mouse button till you see atleast 2 crits after eachother so you know the broken promise is active then press SSS and after that dash again and rinse repeat.
I know about the fix. That's why I was asking, just to make sure I havn't missed any recent changes =)
(Messed up the quote and I can't find the delete post thinghy)
For higher grifts you really need the damage reduction from Spirit Guards (instead of Madstone) and you apply the EP with the set bonus instead. It will take a few seconds longer but you will survive. And Broken Promise with only 5% crit yields more dps in the long run.
but you would need to hit 5 times with a non crit to activate it, right ?
Yes that is right, but with only 5% crit that doesn't take long.
Nice Build, but you should update the stat recommendations on several slots. You (accidentaly) recommend CHC on many slots, even though it is (as you know) to be avoided with this build.
Nice build! What is your opinion concerning Crippling Wave (breaking wave) vs Fists of Thunder (wind blast) vs Way of the Hundred Fists (Assimilation)? Have you tried all 3 and if yes, what is your reasoning for choosing Crippling Wave over Way of the 100 Fists?
