Build Guide
I have at this time been able to clear a 46 with ease, no pylon and no Stonesinger. I clear the rift with about half the rift time remaining, allowing me ample amount of time to dispose of the guardian. A couple deaths will likely occur, however these will likely be from heavy hitting monsters, such as Exorcists, or those that charge. Be mindful of these monsters, and position accordingly.
Ensure you are hitting all monsters around you, as the stun can help greatly with negating damage. Ranged monsters are especially troublesome, so try to drag non-ranged monsters along with you to ranged packs. You should be able to dispose of Elites/Champion packs easily with this build, no need to skip until 50+ most likely.
Things to keep in mind while playing:
- Keep Akarat's Champion available for emergencies/when fighting a Elite/Champion pack.
- Consider having Iron Skin/Law of Valor auto cast. This will save you a lot of hand pain.
- Don't bother having Sweep on auto cast, it doesn't work very well (hard to pass monsters as you're sweeping all the time)
- Don't stand in the middle of a pack of monsters, ensure you can move if need be.
- Consecration rune could be changed to your liking, or even changed to judgement, or perhaps a different skill altogether. I've considered using Slash with Zeal to help with the guardian, as this consumes the most time.
- Remember your grace period with Indestructible, get as much damage out of it as possible, especially if Akarat's is down, and you're likely going to die.
Updates
04/27/2015 - Added Slash/Electrify and removed Consecration, having more wrath available for the Guardian will speed up clear times. Cleared a 47 with over 3 minutes 50 seconds left in a low density map.

Few different skills being used, but the concept is the same Very nice!! Just goes to show that you can swap out some things to make the build fit for you personally.
This must be really dependent on gear. I have every piece (no ancients tho,) and I am hitting nowhere close to the amounts shown in the 55 video. Should you roll lightning damage on the gear?
why not use passivskill:
and sholder Resource Cost / Reduction / ChC
darkan lesson Wrists it's way bettter
Illusener boots str. vit. chc
And for shild GO FOR THE BEST pirol marrel or the final witnes
rings focus ,and resltaint
Why are you using the Unstoppable Force Rune on Laws of Valor? You do not have any single ability in your bar that uses wrath. Not even 1. Take out Unstoppable Force and replace it with Critical, Frozen in Terror or Invincible. Unstoppable Force is completely wasted, I don't mean slightly wasted I mean completely and utterly with no useful application at all wasted.
Other than that this is one of my favorite builds out there for Crusader, it's only 2nd to the Shield Bash build. This build is more forgiving with positioning though requiring as many mobs as possible. And I would probably change the belt with Omnislash for the Denial effect, can pretty much guarantee max damage every swing except in the case of low density. Don't get me wrong, I do like the damage reduction belt but I would also use more defensive rerolls and I would personally use Guard rune on Slash.
I might not make it as high in the Grift as some folks but this would be more my playstyle.
Like Wristicles said, Sweep can be demanding for the boss, and the boss is where you will sink a lot of time into, and start hitting a brick wall. Without Unstoppable Force rune and without that reduction of resource cost you won't maximize your damage output. You don't notice this issue on trash mobs/blues/yellows, but since a great majority of your time in the rift, will and should be spent on the boss, I found this skill to be crucial.
I don't dispute your idea on using Omnislash, however I have since opted to not use Slash at all, thus making that belt obsolete in my particular preference for playing. keeping up my Taeguk stacks are my #1 priority for the boss, and slipping in Slash where I can, while moving to certain bosses who tend to move about, makes that a little harder. I found I rarely used it.
Passive skill what? I think you forgot to put it.
RCR is good for shoulders, I don't dispute that.
Drakkon's Lesson is for Shield Bash, that is not used here. (This is a Sweep Build.)
Illusory Boots could be implemented, I found it to work quite nicely in other builds. If one wants to sacrifice the Convention of Elements for a well rolled G-ring, that is always an option. This simply depicts the way I play, this build is very flexible.
Focus & Restraint I find to not be ideal for 40+ greater rifts. The rings I list find to be most optimal for survival, and for greater rift progression.
Not much use for the Piro Marella(whatever) shield when shield bash isn't even used as a skill?
She already has those wrists in her build.
what passive skill? It ends at :
Feels like this is a comment to the wrong build..
I see we replied at the same moment :-)
Been trying out this build this morning before going to work (couldn't resist) and even on my crappy geared Crusader (second one after the Cannonball) it's very fun to play with.
But as front125 mentions, is it wise to roll for lightning damage or physical?
Sweep Attack does "weapon damage" but I am unsure what that means.
Is it based on the type of damage a weapon does, or is it always physical?
Oh, and what follower would be recommended here, and with what items/build.
Lot of builds don't mention this.
I said the very same thing about the Denials hahaha
We need more stash space :-(
Never had a Denial till tonight, when a friend gave me one.
A non-ancient with only 32%, but with a socket.
Doing a lot higher damage now, but really missing the 10% CHC loss
So hoping for a better drop soon.
With the help of a Grandeur ring i now have a six piece set, missing the shoulders.
CHC needs to go up, but 30% works very nicely already.
Seeing up to 600M+ crits on sweep attack.
Wondering how bad it would be to enchant sweep attack in favor of CHC?
And, what does AR stand for?
umad bro? A little hostile? Need a chill pill? Maybe some fresh air?
This site is to post potential builds that could work, and which are tried and tested. If you don't like it, it's fine, but piss off about telling me I don't know anything, and that I am wasting people's time. Scrub.
