Bracers are S3 exclusive
good thing he flagged this guide as Seasonal then
So why is Toxin gem prefer over Gizzard?
Softcore build obviously
No problem using Gizzard if you feel you need the healing, but this build took me to GR 44 with bad rolled items, no serpent's, dex restraint (lol) and obviously no seasonal bracers (which is a huge CC loss).
The build works.
so obvious and yet you felt the need to mention it. people like you are just noise.
He was replying to the person above in regards to a gem choice...go outside and take a deep breath....
ofc softcore, tal rasha is best for dps. No fun incrap hc mode.
I did last night rift 47 with ease.
Im not fully ancient yet and dont have focus, restraint combo so i used my rorg(dont have tal rasha pants either) and convent of the elements instead.
damage is insane and playing without unity were something i wasnt used to at first but finally it feels like you wont even need it anymore.
You probably want the Vitality over attack speed. With not running Unity, 1000 Vitality from one gear slot is pretty great.
Seems nice build for tal rasha.
are the ranslor's folly season only currently?
Probably, if you change energy twist to arcane black hole, but i haven't tested much to know how it performs.
To non-seasonal people looking for an alternative for the bracers, I've been using Strongarm Bracers and replacing Energy Twister with Black Hole - Spellsteal. Another alternative, if you're having survivability issues, is the Ancient Parthan Defenders. Those in combination Zei's Stone of Vengeance can help you out in short bursts. Please note that each type of crowd control is its own. The freeze from Blizzard does not count as stun, nor does the Knockback effect from Black Hole.
Agreed, strongarms + blackhole is a fine alternative for non season players. If you run Ancient parthans thats really an entirely different build in general, and dosen't really suit the kiting/max range version very well.
My point was not that the Ancient Parthans wouldn't work with freeze effects, but that you are trying to stay away from the enemies in this build, so you may not be within the 25 yards of a lot of enemies. Obviously, if you like them in a kiting Tal Rasha's then run them, but they suit a melee version much better.
I have to be honest, I tried this build last night and I found not having teleport to be extremely detrimental in higher greater rifts. Not being able to get out of dangerous situations is a huge issue for me with this build. You can obviously play at a distance to try and outrange certain things but I just find Teleport: Calamity with Illusionist a much better playstyle. Thanks for the guide.
Do what you must to play comfortable, I switched Glass Cannon for Blur and I'm lvling Life Regen after maxing Armor, until I have better gear i'll be playing with survival and regen numbers a bit.
Also, attack speed does affect Hydras, it was changed a few patches ago.
All good Mordikay. I think the melee versions are better in general.
Play with whatever feels comfortable, the idea is that if you get the right rift, you'll be better off with more damage over a movement ability. With that said, running teleport may result in more consistent runs.
