I'm posting this so the doubters here can have a rethink.

My only concerns with the build are the attack speed using the furnace is terrible so you can get fixed into animations and hurt at really high levels pretty quickly. Secondly, not being able to have life per spirit spent on the futnace (only lifr per hit) hurts surviviability. I've tried life per hit and 10% cdr on my ancient furnace and its not as good as the spirit spent on my torch and I felt it.

Anyway, good theory crafting and good luck hunting ancient furnaces. My only gripe is that if this does become meta, the furnace becomes best in slot for yet another class...very dull!

PS. spirit use wswas not an issue and cindercoat does a solid job in managing it.

So with cindercoat spirit spent/sec is even less than WoL. If you guys are wondering why here is the simple calculation also;

50 - (50*30/100) = 35 spirit spent for LTK, 75 - (75*50/100) = 37,5 for WoL (Even tested ingame with Weapon - Chest changes. Spammed both skills with changes. Simple logic. Seemed way less with attack speed difference on weapons)

We can't roll spirit regen on weapon tho. Since it's not a Daibo. A bit annoying.

Also it feels like Torch - Pillar of Ancients damage (with DoT) can beat Vulture Claw Kick even with the %20 fire damage bonus on chest. Meanwhile spreedsheet and perfect gear combination except Furnace for Monk.

I don't know, Hopefully i'll be wrong, Just want to see the gameplay of this build at Highest Grifts. Cause karate kid boys

Getting 1000 dex on the same amulet would increase your dmg by ((1000/x)*100) , so 1000 dex on your amulet vs 20% fire is only a damage increase only when you have less than ~7k dex ,which you'll propably have more with this kind of gear + paragons , so in my eyes %fire> dex on amulet for pure dmg.

On the other hand dex also increases your survavibility so i guess this makes it better ( since we lose some toughness by losing aughilds ) and is propably the reason you suggest it too . Please correct if i've done any mistake or overseen something , it is just not an obvious choice between those two in my eyes .

edit:well i just realised the EP dmg is cold so its not affected by %fire dmg - so maybe that should do it

Kind of BUT:
Cindercoat + LTK is about same cost as torch+WoL. Its also about same potential modifier for elemental (since we have 1 "free piece" if we take cindercoat off, we can lets say try andariels). If we forgo elemental multiplier we can use tzo krin which ill talk more about later. In such case we also get a free 40-50% dmg boost to Wave of light, which Im still not sure how adds up with SWK, but even in worst case scenario is worth at least 10% more dmg. If we go with andariels we only get torch own WoL bonus (which is also a "free stat" not taking normal number of affixes into acount.

Furnace is Slow, but that only applies to weapon dmg. its a huge difference on non ancient one, but since the bonuses are the same its actually less visible on ancient weapons. So the 15% dmg per swing is more around 8 or so % dmg. That assumes we care about dmg/spirit which is often true, but not always. If we talk about dmg/sec, furnace obviously loses by around same margin. Still i agree that on RG dmg/spirit is more important factor.

Now however we get to the other part. Furnace gives 45% extra dmg to elites on top of your 15% from unity, for a 39% dmg increase. However the WoL deals 1420% weapon dmg, as opposed to 985% of LTK. Those 2 modifiers pretty much nullify each other.

So for simplicity sake here ill assume following :

- WoL % dmg modifier is ADDED to 500% dmg buff of SWK (worst case scenario)
- Furnace deals ~10% more dmg per swing then torch (worst case scenario)
- Extra elite dmg from furnace and extra weapon % from WOL nullify themselves. (worst case scenario, 50% furnace will be ever so slightly ahead, 49% will be already behind)

So with lets say andariel we have same fire modifiers, Furnace deals 10% more dmg per hit before WoL modifier , but then we have 30% WOL modifier on torch. 630%/600% dmg, That puts Furnace 5% ahead.

With Tzo Krins, WOL gets another modifier to dmg, but we lose 20% fire dmg, overall furnace will be around 12% ahead at cost of losing RANGED WOL ability.

So vs ELITE single targets furnace is 5-12% more effecive (the latter coming at a very dear cost of losing range). However vs normal targets it actually LOSES a lot of its power, dealing a lot less "left click dmg" (and of course 10% more EP dmg).

Overall Im really not sure, but it feels that regardless of EP choice that ill talk later about, WoL+ EP + Tzo Krinis possibly superior build . My previous objections of IS not working well with Tzo Krin are gone, since we wont have IS anyway. We also cant really get Aughild anymore, so again its not an issue of losing anything for putting Tzo Krin. Additionally losing aughild AND IS is even more of a reason to use WoL/Tzo since we became WAY more squishier - to the end described by bellinzona.

Feels to me that spamming RANGED WoL + zoom in (40% dodge buff) to put palm up, and zoom out is way safer and as a result quicker way of dpsing, Vs tough RG we can stay ranged and only put EP etc on adds when we have epiphany up.

Now for EP. One thing you must note is "Can dot hit 10 mobs, nay" part. Of course it can. if a "dotted" EP explodes it does explosion dmg AND applies dot to the enemies. The dot on first mob might be not that relevant, but the explosion adds 1200% dot on top of its 2770 or so dmg. So its not so simple choice, but i wont really keep on the subject until I do more testing.
