I have a few Questions: why do you use the Rocket Storm as Strafe Rune and why Vallas as Offhand i thought Strafe is only for the Setbonus to fire the Generators or does Strafe really deal a good amount of dmg?
And is AS on the Weapons better then AD? Cause on the most other GoD DH Builds i saw only AD on the Weapons

To answer some of it:
Strafe is not affected by the 6-piece set bonus of GoD. So buffing strafe in any other way than to make you move faster is pointless imo. At least if you go for this setup. A different setup, with 6-piece Natalya, 4-piece GoD would boost strafe as well, as the 6-piece Natalya gives 14000% damage increase to all skills, not just primary skills. Plus a 60% damage taken reduction - which should come handy.
Also, a question:
When you have just one skill that slows (Fan of Knives, for 1 second), are you able to fully utilize the bonus from the Cull the Weak passive? Hungering arrow does cold damage, but doesn't chill or slow - does it? Don't you need something like Iceblink to make cold damage chill?
I would swop awareness for ToTH passive.
I think Rocket Storm is just for high pushes (which this guide is for), not sure if its just highest damage option or what. (Do the rockets proc the 4 pc maybe?) I'd use Drifting Shadow if your kill speed matches the movement, otherwise makes sense to just nab that extra damage instead of just outpacing mobs you can't kill that fast.
The Valla's is in there because the piercing Strafe projectiles also proc the 4pc for every mob pierced, getting you extra HA procs which is your main damage source. (Making it scale with mob density) Wouldn't be surprised if this interaction was fixed next season if it scales too high.
Yeah FoK is the only source in there. You are pretty much using it on CD for the damage reduction, but I'm not sure how effective that is with a 1 sec duration on the slow.See Ramsh's reply below, he is correct and HA will apply Chill.If I am not mistaken then cold skills always apply chill which in turn activates CtW. (with Hungering Arrow)
FoK is in there for the toughness you get with the rune.
For the AS I am not sure, but it might be to get stricken stacked faster, this is a push build so the faster you get the stacks going the earlier you get profit and AD has no benefits on the guardian. More AS also makes it easier to keep Chilled active if it is indeed applied by cold dmg
Ah, I went and researched and you are correct. The only case I found where a Cold skill doesn't apply chilled is Strafe's Cold rune (where the patches apply it but the arrows themselves seem to still be physical attacks), so that will greatly help the uptime.
That also means TotH is pretty useless for this build, so if you don't need Awareness consider other options. (Archery?)
yeah TotH is redundant then.
guess the passive has quite some options if not using awareness. you can run archery but i like it with a bow mostly and with this build you would get the 5% ChC
Maybe ballistics is an option if the strave rockets do work with the 4pc, but dont think the chance for another rocket is worth the passive
single out adds some dmg vs RG or leech/perfectionist for overall survivability.
Personally I do like awareness even in softcore. theres always something you can roll in, miss FoK uptime or run in a wall.
look for what fits you and take it. no need to strictly follow the builds to every passive.
on another note, keep in mind this is for hard pushing. for most people powerful might even be better than stricken due to the time stricken needs to stack and the dmg lost before it catches up with powerful.
play the game, look what works for you and what's not. have fun. thats what we are playing it for
I tried it with good gear, and it is not as good as the same build with Fortress Ballista. That 100% Damage from Squirts really makes the difference.
How come you don't post every stat we need for the gear for us players that are still newbies? For example the belt you just have life. Well what other than life do we need as a stat??? Another example the legs you have just all resist. Do we need armor or vit?? Dex is an obvious.
Thanks for the build. Unfortunately I don't have all the pieces yet, but with this I am able to 3 piece it and still do Torment X stuff.
How does this guide even have an eight rating??? This guide is so useless. The stats for the gear aren't even complete. The helm just has CHC as a stat. The belt only has life as a stat. What the hell else are you suppose to have on the items stat wise?? Plus this guide is not newbie friendly. No new person is goin to understand this at all!
Exactly I'm new still and I have no idea what just life for the belt means. What other stats are needed?
Is there a way to fit Unity in here somewhere?
you can go Unity instead of CoE in the cube if you prefer the survivability over the dmg
another option would be elusive ring instead of CoE
why are some dhs on the leaderboards are using bane of the trapped instead of stricken? (mostly 2 man an barbs proccs it) - but how are they able to kill rg? only rgs with adds?
edit: just found out about the desync with seasonbuff to keep stacks, so that rg gets killed by theme alone, so no stricken is needed... i dont like this at all :<

i really dont understand why people use the rune rocket storm, im 100% the rockets doesn't any dmg, so should be another purpose, because the damage usless, compard with movement speed, a guy below litteraly said "to make you move faster is pointless imo", that is a non sense, movement speed is great, with movspeed u can avoid very well high source of dmg, with mvs u can explore the map faster and can skip bad maps and a lot of usefull things, movement speed is great, but if people doesnt use rocket storm, there should be another reason, if is not damage? so what it is?
