Build Guide

Typhon's Veil Frost Hydra Low GR Speed build for 2m to 3.5m solo clears. GR90 shown at ~1kp / 9k INT.

Similar to the attempted TXVI build (whose viability is in question, due to PTR changes related to Frost Hydra):

We run CDR on gear to manage quick refresh of our skills, synergize with Captain Crimson's, and free up a skill slot, as well as allow for easier resource management (than if using Aether Walker).

The GR level chosen here must be very specific. Too high, and you risk dropping EF stacks. Too low, and you risk incurring too much of a penalty for placing hydra (first attack animation is now slow).

Differences:

  • Use Power Hungry + Zei to deal increased damage. Ensure uptime on both Karini and OID to survive, and get the increased multiplier from OID.
  • Spellsteal for increased additive damage. This is dynamic with Hydra, so you can cast Hydra and then cast Spellsteal, and that Hydra will still benefit from the increase as black hole pulls in enemies.
  • Enduring Skin means we move slower, but with the slightly lower cooldown in this low GR version, we need it to ensure 100% uptime on shielding overlap with Galvanizing.
  • No deflection placed (less activity on this build to proc, plus not as good as spellsteal here for utility and damage).
