Skills:


Ground Stomp with Wrenching Smash rune for gathering mobs, crowd control and most important to trigger the Band of Might 80% damage reduction.

Whirlwind with Blood Funnel rune for steady healing while dpsing mobs with the WW ability.

Battle Rage with Bloodshed rune is added damage and crit and your WW hits that crit will now also do an AOE damage around the target you crit.

War Cry with Veteran rune for more defense/toughness.

Wrath of the Berserker with any rune you like here as the Mortick's Brace here gives us all runes increasing Toughness and Damage.

Rend with Bloodbath rune, here we equip rend skill but never push this button as rend is already being applied by WW and we get this from cubing Ambo's Pride, this sword will also make it that Rends bleed is applied for full damage but all compacted into 1 second making this a massive dps boost as well.


This is the classic WW barb setup for grinding low to high GR at very good speeds, I personally will use this to farm GR70 to GR100+ keystones.

Once you farmed all the min maxed gear you can switch a few items of this build to push even higher then 100 GR's.


Recomended changes for 100+ GR's:


In the cube Mantle of Channeling can be swapped for => Aquila Cuirass for more damage reduction.

Weapons can be swapped to the => Little rogue and Slanderer combo.

WW rune should be changed if you swap away to normal swords for Wind Shear rune, this will help manage rage on single targets to keep you at max.

Battle Rage you will want to change to Swords to Ploughshares rune for healing as we lose Blood funnel on WW that made up our sustain. (yes we lose some dps here but it was just a small portion of our damage as most of it comes now from rend.)

And the passive skill Weapons Master can be swapped for more toughness or dps or Boon of Bulkathos for extra CDR if you find yourself not having it up 100% of the time.

War Cry can also be swapped to Ancient Spear with Rage Flip rune to help stack mobs or grab mobs running out of stacked packs. (We can afford to drop War Cry here as with our min maxed gear and the Aquila Cuirass and bonus armor from the Little Rogue and Slanderer set bonus.)


Note on Neck slot: Here we have The Flavor of Time, however getting a well rolled one is extremely rare so here while we farming just equip best neck you have, anything with socket and crit and crit damage will do while we farm for that perfect Flavor of Time. The reason is early on when you running Greater rifts or normal rifts the impact of the Legendary affix on the Flavor of Time is minor compared to a higher dps neck. It is only when you reach your limit and the pylon RnG in greater rifts become more of a factor that the neck will have a big impact on your progress in pushing up another level.


Weapons: So you been farming a bit and you have a few versions of the Bul-Kathos swords and you not sure how to choose. I have always gone for weapon damage first and then looked at the other stats on weapon as I believe and I hope I am correct that WW alternates hits while you channel it. So main hand then off hand and it keeps going so 1rst thing is you want good weapon dps rolls and then you want to look at strenght and or Vitality and choose the one that rolled the best, the other one then can be rolled CDR or if that is already on there roll Damage % higher. Having vitality here is not bad as that means less paragon spent on vitality and more on strength whilst having a great base health pool. If you're at end game min maxing you probably want to pick up as much strength as you can get with highest possible dps weapons.


Gems:


I use Diamonds everywhere, so we get the CDR from helm and all resist from the gem sockets in chest and legs. If you have enough all res or feel like you don't need such high all resistances for what you ding then go for Strength gems in chest and legs sockets.


How much CDR?:


I normally aim for around 50% CDR however if you are in GR with mobs constantly on you your zodiac ring will keep all your abilities rolling. Don't have less then 40% I found as gaps in packs of mobs can make you have downtime. Don't go more than 50% as that would be too much and you just want to keep berserker up 100% so see what you have on gear and how it plays out with the Zodiac ring and adjust for your character.

Paragon points are simple:

Max out movement speed to 25%, if you have some on gear then make up the differance here in paragon.

Set yourself up with some vitality if you running low on this, i like running at least 600k to 800k life and the rest of points go to strength.

Build Guide

This is the standard setup WW barb but adapted for the season 19 changes, this build will take you far and if you come to season end and start pushing to the max Greater rift you can make small changes to your build to help you survive and max out DPS by following the recommended changes for greater rift 100+ keys. I believe there are a few builds here on Diablo fans that for the WW barb, is aimed at end game where this build is the one you will spend 90% of your time in and then transition near end of season or whenever you decide to start pushing. Lower keys or Normal rifts there is ofc speed builds that you can optimize to farm more effectively, my build is aiming at the 70 to 100 level key range for farming loot and paragon. Below 70 and up to it speed builds would be more effective if you have good gear for it, those builds are aimed at farming Deaths breath and bounties however.
