Introduction

Now that we have a few new powers introduced in Patch 2.6.6 to refine one of the best Torment content speedfarming builds in the game, the time has come to update our Unhallowed Essence Multishot speedfarming build! This setup is amazing for both solo and group Demon Hunters that are looking to farm Torment rifts for keys. It becomes quite powerful as soon as you assemble all of the right pieces, so it'll be great very early in your season and only get better. However, keep in mind that clearing your Torment rifts in a fast time (2-3 minutes on average) is the most important objective, so you may have to hang out in T13/14/15 before your gear is good enough to maintain the same speed in T16. Going slower will only hold back your progression early in the season.

Why I Use What I Use & Gearing Options

In my testing (see the video below), I simulated being decently geared by removing all of my Paragon from Dexterity except what you would have at Paragon 800. I still had good pieces with augments on them, so it landed me with around 12,000 Dexterity and I also still benefited from some high level gems. The point is to showcase that even before you get to a higher Paragon level or have amazing gear, you can still take great advantage of the build and your speed clears will only get better as you further gear your Demon Hunter out.

This build actually has a ton of options, both in skills and in gear, so I'll cover a few here.

The first choice comes in the amulet slot. A Hellfire Amulet is, on average, going to be your most useful, since there are a ton of passives that are nice for speedfarming Torment rifts. I'd equip the ones shown above, but also look out for Ballistics, and Steady Aim. If you're playing Hardcore, Awareness should be equipped or on your Hellfire and I would de-prioritize Hot Pursuit or Blood Vengeance. A well-rolled Flavor of Time (good luck) is a great option as well for more CDR, which feeds into your Captain Crimson damage buff and helps you meet your 37% CDR requirement for 100% uptime on Vengeance with a Dawn in the weapon slot of Kanai's Cube. You also get the side-effect of speeding things up a bit when you come across pylons, which happens a decent amount in Torment rifts. Squirt's Necklace can be good but a bit inconsistent and since we've moved away from Goldwrap, your defense isn't infinite anymore. This could lead to you getting blown up and dying is slow/bad. Squirt's is a great choice when you can keep it active, but you'll be surprised by how often you get hit by things if you're not playing carefully and playing carefully is pretty counter to speedfarming.

- EDIT - As I've been playing this build more in Season 18, I'm warming up more to Squirt's Necklace, so I think it's now my preferred amulet. :)

The bracers are interchangeable, so wear whichever ones you find a good pair of and Cube the other one. You could also consider wearing Nemesis Bracers and Cubing Gloves of Worship so that you get extra benefit from shrines, but that's more of a personal preference choice and particularly good for longer keyfarming sessions.

The rings shown above are what you should strive for eventually, but you can play with Focus and Restraint first if you find your damage to be a bit lacking for the Torment you're trying to speed farm. You would bring Evasive Fire - Focus back in as a skill instead of Shadow Power - Shadow Glide to activate Focus & Restraint.

Another min/max high-tier option is to eventually change Bane of the Powerful to Gogok of Swiftness. This grants you more attack speed and cooldown reduction, which gives you more speed and damage, respectively.

Put Flawless Royal Emeralds in your chest, pants, and weapon and a Flawless Royal Diamond in your helm. If you're worried about dying, you can swap the armor gems to Diamonds as well.

Make sure you have Max Discipline rolls for secondaries on your Cloak, Quiver, and Bow.

Everything else, including CDR requirements and ideal affixes, should be self-explanatory or further explained in the video below! Good luck in Season 18!
