Build Guide

Update: 21 of Feb, 2019

After a lot of tests and configurations, I think the most powerful Arachyr Firebat build to include Piranhado is simply to change Haunt for it.

  1. You will lose the extra damage for Ring of Emptiness and it will somewhat compensate for the Fire rotation of the CoE
  2. The character is less powerful, but the gameplay is way too easier. You don't have to keep Haunt and Locust Swarm in your enemies all the time, Piranhado OR Locust Swarm will proc Bakuli and the CoE will work by itself. It gives you time to keep Firebat running more of the time.
  3. Enemies would be locked more often on Piranhado offering more defense and crow control
  4. Piranhado and then Creeping Death will offer 15% plus damage to your enemies all the time.
  5. Mana is kind of an issue, so it's best to invest something in Mana in your Paragon points.
  6. It performed similar in the GR80s with 750+ paragon

Update: 20 of Feb, 2019

    1. Reverted Soul Harvest back to Languish rune. The build was very squishy without it.
    2. Used Angry Chicken as mobility instead. Sacrificing the damage boost of Jinx, to keep the toughness of Soul Harvest, Languish
    3. Changed Esoteric Alteration for Taeguk. The toughness is in a good level, and it's better to boost damage. Taeguk gives some toughness by increasing armor as well.
    4. About Grin Reaper mimics:
      1. Keeping enemies under Haunt effect, regenerating mana and buffing damage
      2. Preventing us from casting Haunt so often, focusing only on Locust Swarm
      3. Crow Controlling by casting Piranhado with no cooldown and mana costs
      4. Dealing (less) damage with Firebats.

      1. They can reliably cast Firebats, Haunt and Piranhado,
      2. They seem not to take the effects Legendary Gems
      3. They seem not to be able to cast Locust Swarm. Don't know why. Probably a bug
      4. They cast Soul Harvest but it does nothing. Probably a bug. Either they shouldn't cast it (as there are some skill they don't cast) or the cast should do what it's supposed to do.
      5. So, they would be useful in this build for:

This build is holding up nicely in GR80s with 770+ Paragons.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A variation of the most common Firebat Arachyr build to include Piranhado.

  1. Change Spirit Walk for Piranhado
  2. Use Movement Speed rune on Soul Harvest to compensate lack of Spirit Walk
  3. Use Mana regeneration in Haunt to compensate lack o mana regeneration on Spirit Walk. The 15% damage of Haunt will come from Piranhado instead
  4. Use Invigorating Gemstone to compensate for loss of armor rune on Soul Harvest and ability to escape traps as freezing and immobilizing of Spirit Walk
  5. Piranhado will increase the rate which Bane of the Stricken will buff the damage and will group enemies together, dealing more Area Damage and working as crowd control and stopping enemies from attacking

Bonus: Grin Reaper

  1. Change Mantle of Channeling for Grin Reaper trading damage and damage reduction for more crow control, ease of playing and mana spending.
  2. Your mimics will cast Haunt, Piranhado and Firebats buffing damage, saving and regenerating mana and trapping enemies for you.
