I haven't spent a lot of time on DH so this isn't me calling you out, I genuinely want to know how the math works out here. It looks like running flat M6 would be better than this because N6 only gives a flat 3500% increase where M6 gives the potential for up to I believe a 12000% increase with I think a max of 4 turrets out at a time correct? Even the dmg reduction from N6 seems pointless because you can swap Nat's ring for Elusive and get damn near the same DR with a much higher damage potential. This is just what I'm seeing, and again, I'm a very inexperienced DH overall so I may be overlooking something major. Show me what's up! XD

Hey there, thank you for taking the time to post the build.
Question: both on the bracers and on the amulet you have Fire damage listed. The turrets however (which for this build are used to deal damage instead of the DH) are set to Polar Station, which is Cold.
The DH's main attack is, however, Fire.
How does this work ? Considering the turrets are the damage dealers, shouldn't the elemental rolls on your gear be Cold as well ?

Hello. Sentries cast Cluster Arrow when we do (Marauder's 4 set bonus).
Right. So they copy the skill the DH uses, including the element. Makes sense. Thank you
I agree with this, you need dmg in the elemental that you are using
yo yo, since no one else popped up to explain it, i'm gonna give you information straight from Rhykker's video (from which this build was taken). The 4 set of Marauders has our sentries casting our hatred spender at the same time as us, so the reason why the sentries are set as cold is so they have an aoe cc around where you place em, their damage, however comes from the sentries casting cluster arrow at the same time as us, which is fire damage. The builds played by spreading out sentries, casting rain of vengeance, and spamming cluster arrow for huge deeps of damage, the sentries regular attacks outside of cluster arrow don't matter. Also make sure you use your animal companion button as it should function as having every rune thanks to marauder's 2-piece.

M6 says 12,000% per sentry so wouldn't it be higher with 5 sentries at 60,000% atk?
Actually 5 sentries at 12,000% is 60,000% damage so I think m6 is better for pure dps.
Can someone explain the math on this? I don't understand how the 14000% helps against M6's 60,000%.
just my 2 cents. dmg isnt the problem. you just forgot the 60% dmg reduce you get from N6 compared to M6
Ya I tested and N6 M4 is way better. When you use vengeance you 14k for you and all 5 sentries. M6 only buffs that atk skill you use. It's weird but its true.
The reason this does more damage than M6 is because this build buffs the sentries damage. So while with M6 you would get 60000% damage, your sentries only get the 400% from the 4 set bonus. Whereas the N6 bonus increase all damage by 14000%, which means all 5 of your sentries are doing more damage.
So 5 sentries doing 14000% more damage + you doing 14000% more end up being a lot more damage than just you doing 60000% more.
What would I switch for a HC version ? I was thinking either unity or Elusive Ring instead of COE, am I correct?
That would work really well, I'd say. What I've heard (I don't usually play HC), you usually want to run one extra defensive gear piece on your HC gear.
I was personally running Elusive ring and The Cloak of the Garwulf on my cube for extra protection and got to HC GR100 done on day 3 with ~700 Paragon level on my first attempt. I don't think I've seen my HP ever dropped lower than 80% with this setups. And after having all the buffs on, my toughness raised from ~100m+ to 2b+. Replacing 1-2 damage gear for defense makes killing speed quite a lot slower though, but whenever you feel you need more damage you can always try to swap from defense to damage if you dare to try it.
i have a weird question , can i swap the parts of the set items like for it to be N6M4 but the helmet is marauder and the pants is natalya ?
As long as you have the correct amount of set pieces equipped is all that matters.
Great build, really enjoying playing it, however, my resource cost reduction is over 38% and I still constantly run out. Hatred regen is 8 p/s
I should mention I am using cold dmg, not fire and have Frostburn in the cube. The same build that is currently top of the leaderboards.
