Build Guide
This is just a beginner build and other combinations of items, stats, skills and gems might be better or worse at some time during the game based on your current paragon and progression.
But this build is easily obtained, easy to use and safe. I did not get to test it out in the PTR but this looks to be a solid build and looks to have the ability too reach GR 130 and maybe higher by the end of the season.
The Hammerdin build looks to be comming back too but the final patch notes will tell us more about the optimal Crusader solo push build.
The build focus on the Secondary Stat Thorns and the cursaders ability too empower and utilise this stat.
The build is great at killing Elite packs and does great in large packs of monster and its tankyness is GREAT.
So for greater rift pushing focus on looking for Elites and high density of mobs.
- Red Str gems in armor slots
- Yellow Thorns gem in wep
- White CDR gem in head or purple life% gem if you can fit it
Points that can be changed for a better effect depending on how they fit:
- CDR Might not be i such big demand so you can change it for other stats like Attack speed.
- Compass/Traveler for something with a higher DMG potential
- Passive Towering Sheild can potential yeld more DMG
- Simplicity's Strength instead of Bane of the Trapped
- Even a Stone of Jordan or Unity from dmg or tankines
Or as dkurucar mention the old Blood brother + Hold your ground
Yes this might not me the optimal build for the lategame push but it should be functional and solid ^^
Once season 16 starts on January 11th i will be streaming at: https://www.twitch.tv/firebloom
Crusader only
yes Thorns are "part" of Physical elemental dmg
Gold star. thats why the gear need +%phys dmg too and the CoE is multiplicative so its basicaly if your dmg is 100 then its 300 while CoE Phys is active
but why not use blood brother and hold your ground like the last season 15 builds did to synergize with justice lantern?
Yes that is a viable option together with some other tweeks it might be a better option, but then you have to get a a lot of CDR. With the Akkarats awekening you could have 100% uptime on a lot of abilites. Vo'Toyias Spikers Double thorns dmg on provoked Enemies should have 100% uptime instead of 70% ish at best. But yeah i thinks there should be posibilites for both. As i've said there should be room for a lot of tweeks to this build and any number of combos might work slightly better or worse than others
Its been a while since I played invoker crusader. Was just curious about the Skill: Punish recommendations on the stats. How exactly does that work? Just wondering, because I cant remember ever using it before.
Punish: Celerity increases both your block chance and attack speed. The Blocking Procs Akarat's Awakening, Justice Lantern and tankiness in general. Attack speed and thorns synergize with this build because of the two piece set bonus dealing damage all around you each time you hit. Multiplicative whoopins.
Ah yeah I get that I meant the recommendations for stats on the belt and pants for Punish Damage. I just wasnt aware punish damage somehow increases the thorns damage?
Ah, my bad. Didn’t see that initially. That’d be interesting if the a multiplicative +15% bonus was factored to the thorns damage as well.
Anyone knowledgeable listening?!
