[non-Comcast user] Constant 3006 and 1016 errors

• 07/25/2017 07:49 AMPosted by Eloemaz
Hey all,

This forum thread is for a specific issue that has been affecting players that have Comcast for their ISP. So far it does look like this specific issue has been fixed. If you do have Comcast and are still experiencing these errors or any trouble loading on to game, please replay to this thread.

If you do not have Comcast, please do try the connection troubleshooting here. In general, the 1016 and 3006 can be just generic connection errors that do not point to a specific cause. Usually the steps on the connection troubleshooting page will help fix them. If they do not please create a new forum thread.

In light of this post, I am creating my second thread. The first one was instantly removed after I posted it, and I will spare the details I put there.

In very, very short:

1. I get continuous 3006 and 1016 errors.

The typical scenario goes like this: I launch the game, I log automatically, my "join game" button is grayed out, and it stays grayed out for about a minute. At that point, I either can join a game, which does sometime occur, or I get the following message: http://i.imgur.com/IUMwq5B.jpg

After I get the 3006 error, I press "OK", and I get instantly kicked out to the logging screen, where I can no longer connect to the server AT ALL: http://i.imgur.com/aahFb22.jpg

Now I have to cancel the request, exit the game, re-launch it and try again.

If I do happen to log normally, and if I do happen to get into a rift or something like that, it is a matter of time before one of two things happens: 1) I get the 3006 error and I get kicked out, or 2) I get the 1006 error and I get kicked out. And while I am in, I am playing with constant ms (300+ with a regular ms of 80 to 100) 90% of the time, my chat is lethargic, I experience portal difficulties, where I have to press things multiple times for them to even register, et cetera.

I want to point out a few things:

1. I have never had ANY issues playing 'Diablo 3' before the start of this season.
2. I have NOT changed my ISP since the last time I successfully played 'Diablo 3'.
3. I do NOT have any issues with any other games and applications whatsoever.
4. I HAVE tried the troubleshooting guide Eloemaz suggested.
5. I am EU-based (Spain).

What should I do?
• Hey AlastairVale,

I did see some other post from players in Spain and have the same ISP as you that have been experiencing the same errors. Tharemder has asked for some additional information to help find the cause of this. Please follow the steps they posted here and create a new forum post in the EU forums with the information requested.
