App connecting & disconnecting repeatedly

  • Hi! My app continually disconnects when it's in the background. I'm not sure if that's an issue on my Mac's or ISP's part or if it's the app itself.

    Any suggestions what to check? Console doesn't give me any error messages.

  • I'd start with power-cycling your network devices, and performing a DNS Flush on your Mac. This will help clear out cached data that might be affecting the connection.

    If the issue persists, can you tell me a bit more about your machine? Also, does it disconnect while it's just open in the background normally, or is it only when a game is playing?

      1. Click on the Apple Menu while holding down the Option key and select System Profiler (10.6.8) / System Information (10.7 and later).
