I just wish they would tell us about specific changes to the characters.

    Just want to clarify this.

Patch notes will be posted in two parts. So many changes are happening between 1.0.8 and 2.0.1 that we know it's important, especially for players returning after a long hiatus, for you all to be well-informed on what's changed.

However, this also means it's a colossal amount of information. I think my last count including the class changes was around 55 pages long. We want to be absolutely certain this information is as up to date and accurate as possible, as well as localized to all our supported regions, so we’ve not included detailed class notes just yet. As soon as all the information is ready to be published, we'll be sure to update the patch notes accordingly.

As for when the patch notes will be available on the website, traditionally, they have gone live when the servers do. In the meantime, the patch notes are viewable in the desktop app, and our known issues list is available here.
  • Just wanted to drop back in and say that class changes have been added to the notes!

55 pages of auto generated patch notes... that's going to be hell to correct.

    Manually generated*

five hours later and still only fifty percent WTF is going on

If you're having trouble either upgrading to the desktop app and/or patching to 2.0.1, I would encourage you to post in our Technical Support forum (or Mac Technical Support forum, if that's your chosen poison), or seek technical assistance through our Support site:

    Good luck!

The support team can not help I type it in and it says login I need no help logging in but I need help with the updates and an explanation!

I'm unfortunately not a technical support representative, so I will be unable to assist. In addition to the forums, you can also contact our Customer Support directly here:

That should provide you with several options including submitting a ticket, signing up a for a callback, or live chat. :)

    this is what it says

What options from each drop-down are you selecting?
  • 02/26/2014 04:11 PMPosted by GhostDragon
I do not get any option

    I'll walk you through step-by-step. :)

Step 1: Visit our "Contact Support" page (

Step 2: Click on the Diablo III icon.

Step 3: From the drop-down box, select "I have a technical issue with my computer or with my connection to the game." Once you select this option, a new drop-down box should appear below.

Step 4: From this second drop-down box, select "I have an issue installing or patching the game."

      Step 5: Click "Continue."

At this point, some support articles will be suggested for you. However, you should also have the option to click on "Submit a Ticket," "Phone Callback," and "Live Chat." Select your preference!

Once you've made your selection, you will be asked to provide some additional information, like steps you've taken thus far to resolve your issue, what type of system you're operating on, any error text you've received, and your DXDIAG file. I can't provide that information for you, so answer what you can and then complete the rest of the form.
