Rage mechanic for barb is massive fail.

  • If it ain't broke don't fix it. What was wrong with mana?
Now the barb cant even use some of his abilities right away without getting in the fight while other classes can dole out their biggest damage right away.

What is the purpose of this. Rage mechanics aren't fun. A resource that constantly runs out isn't fun. This isn't wow.

The resource systems don't make classes play differently their respective abilities do. At the end of the day no matter how many different colors of bars you have they're all just mana.

Right, even though some have finite limits, others can be increased through affixes or passives, require combat to fill, can only be spent on specific skills, or are split in half and used for different skills altogether, it's all just mana.... ;)

To be honest I would agree that the resource systems don't make or break the classes, and if they all just went back to mana I think the game would still be fun, but it's just a different mechanic to keep in mind and work with which makes each class feel that much different.

Best feature in Diablo III? No. Cool? Yeah, pretty cool.

Keep in mind this is beginning of Act 1 Normal. Resource generation and regeneration is pretty insane, so you're going to see them behave in a way that looks like they're infinite. That changes very quickly.

The idea that changing mana to rage makes a barb stay in combat more is silly.

    Why?
