vault of the assassins seems to be the real deal !
All you need to do it start quest #8 in act 2 on inferno and pick your monster power (the higher the MP the higher the dropchance, mp10 = 81%)
once you cleared the vault you simpely leave and rejoin to clear again (portal to vault will be in town)

Is crafting really worth the effort? Can you show us some examples? That would be great.

I would say amulets are 100% worth the effort !
The fact that u can get tri/quadfecta amulets with 200+ Mainstat is seriously insane !
Im the owner of the worlds best amulet (not bragging, you wanted an example !) and ive seen so many crafted amulets that get really close to my current one in just a couple of days already....so im pretty sure its worth it to get crafting !

I havnt tested out the other parts yet.... but for a barb id say pants/boots/amulets are the way to go !

Been looking for some info from someone who tried the PTR - watched a few videos, but most were dumb comments "derp didn't get BiS item in 10 tries, worthless crafting".

There are no craftable pants and boots (boots wouldn't really be worth it anyway).
Shoulders (barbs only) and gloves should be worth it, cause they can get 315 and 215 STR respectively, they roll a low amount of useless stats and with top rolls are BiS in every way. Amulet is a no-brainer.




Four Rare recipes have been added to the Blacksmith: Archon Spaulders (Shoulders), Archon Gauntlets (Gloves), Archon Armor (Chest Armor), Razorspikes (Bracers)

Similar to the Hellfire Ring, it will have four variants, each guaranteeing a fixed core stat which will have the highest range available in the game

althought that ^ is only true when compared to rares

woha, VotA ye i can say i've spent 100/600ish hours in there, i love that place for farming legendarys

I think that Vault of the Assassin is great for higher monster powers... But for low levels it's really bad to farm.

I'll just do my regular Act 3 farm routes... The density of elites is nice at Skycrown, Keep Depths, Fields of Slaughter+cave and everything below the first tower.

No need to rush the amulet and miss the fat loot from regular farming. We can't sell it anyways.

Hey kongor ,

I'm not to sure about MP10 being the most effective way to go for demonic essences.
One the one hand , few people can farm it and even if we can farm it ( like i do ) its most of the time very slow.
My guess for a mid/good gear is mp5 or 6 , nearly 50% chance and farming elites packs very quickly

He did not say that. Drop chance is not efficiency. Elite kills/time must be considered along with drop chance to calculate efficiency. Or simply log how much essences you get per hour on a given MP
