I know the answer is yes. I've seen them in the AH. Yet, the point I am making is that in the hundreds of hours of playing I've never seen one drop. My Witch Doctor is 60+25. I have a monk who is 60. I have seen several of legendaries drop, albeit rare, but never once seen a green set item drop. Never. Would love to hear experiences of people who have had luck finding these drops.

My monk is only plvl 21 and I've only gotten a handful of legendaries... but I've actually gotten 4-5 set pieces.  Everything was pretty useless garbage.

A friend of mine has gotten almost all set pieces whenever legendaries drop so... just the luck of the draw (drop?).

Just gotta keep trying.

Well, what can we say...? I found maybe 10-20 set items and am playing since release... and these were also the items I got the most gold for. Could be easily more than 200m that I made only by finding pieces of Natalya's, Chantodo's, Zunimassa's, Inna's, etc... So yeah, I was kinda lucky, but I have 60+ characters of all classes. Sometimes I play the whole day and then two weeks not even one minute, it really is freaking random :X. GL to you for the future, though... the next set item is only one resplendent chest (Natalya's Reflection dropped there for me, sold for like 50m) or enemy away!

I must've found 50 by now. I lost count. Just found Zuni boots earlier after only being logged in for 2 min.

Out of all the legendaries and sets I've found... I've never found a pair of set boots I've only found one pair of set boots (Natalya's), I only dream of finding Zuni's. I have about 1,000 hours logged across all my characters.

I've easily found over a hundred at this point. They for sure drop A LOT less than legendarys, that's a fact.

Well since sets are smaller in number is obvious that they would drop more rarely.I;ve had sets drop a lot , stuff like Zuni boots with all res selling for 80mil. But I've also had 5 brown legs drop in a span of 10 minutes that well amounted to 5 brimstones.Its just about luck and farming. And I would advise u play on a single character more for your farming so you can farm with 80+ paragon rather than take  a char to 60 then build another char from scratch..u lose a lot of drops.

Since the launch of 1.0.6:

LVL60 Legendaries - 211 (Most common legendary drop for me is Lacuni Prowlers (9))
LVL60 Set items - 35 (Most common legendary set drop for me is Natalya's Chest Piece (5))

So for me they do drop, but they are quite rare.

Out of those 246 legendaries, 187 were Brimstones

I'm only plvl 21 with my WD, and have not found that many legendaries yet. But only misses 1 part from the wizz set before the whole have droped

Lucky you. My stats looks more like 140 brimstones out of 150 legendaries (and out of these 10 I'd say half are just stashed for fun).

@OP: Didn't find any set items until p25, found 5-10 set items until p60. It's RNG, and some people are just lucky enough to get 5 set items every 2 minutes. But also keep in mind that people are extremely exaggerating, showing off, or just lying when posting about their luck on these forums. Keep trying. As a side note, the less items you find, the more enjoyable it is. ;-)

i've found one greeny in 1.0.3 - old crappy IK helm.

In first day of patch 1.0.4 i got 40M nataly chest, and 150M mage amulet few days letter..

since that time i've got only one worthlesss monk head - inna's something (

i've found about 40 legendaries, so the ratio for set items is pretty low

wizard p42 here. yday I sold nat's boots for 112mio and some weeks ago with p 30 I've found an ik chest which sold for 75 mio. so yes. just keep farming and you'll be rewarded

Paragon 31 wizard and 22 barb.  I've found:

Tal's helm, currently equipped on wizard
Very well-rolled chantodo's off-hand, currently equipped on wizard
Inna's helm with all-resist, sold for 4m
IK belt, crappy rolls, stashed
Zuni's ring, sold for 27m
Zuni's chest, gave away to friend
Zuni's off-hand, gave away to friend
Manajuma's off-hand, gave away to friend
Blackthorn's pants, crappy rolls, sold for few hundred K
Traveler's pledge amulet, equipped on follower for mf

So yes, they drop.  Not often, but they do.

No wonder I can't ever get any gold and the AH is so broke. I see a list of people here who have found set items and sold them for a mass surplus of gold and here I am, unable to find anything of worth. The RNG is an unfair mistress.

I'm sorry to tell you, but Diablo always has been about RNG. However, in 1996 there was no AH, no Battle.net, no forums where people bragged about their luck or complained about their bad luck. You didn't feel bad if you didn't find a "King's Sword of Haste", and you didn't feel like you need to turn it into cash as soon as you've found it.

I had the same, THE EXACT same, set item drop within a 5 minute time window after the first. It was some green 2part set 1h X-bow...
