Just wondering if anyone has tried the new ruby with high elemental damage from tals, zuni boots and triumvarate etc?

All I see is barbs with no elemental damage complaining they suck.  If anyone has tried it on the PTR yet let me know I'm curious as hell.  =)

oh for fucks sake  =)

I meant a ruby in your main hand weapon while using a triumvarate with all the elemental damage on it and elemental damage on boots / neck etc.

He means how high the dps increase is if you use one in your weapon.

Edit: Too slow.

Not this specific case but I've used a damage calc to simulate it on all my characters in place of an emerald and it gives less damage in my cases.

Same, though it depends on your other stats. If you have no crit chance on gear, it will be better than emerald. With 33% crit in my Archon gear emerald beats it by quite a bit and would break even if the ruby were around 220 average damage, but it's only 150.

More attack speed increases the number of times you have a chance to crit and make use of Crit damage.

The biggest factor in deciding which one to use will be how much crit chance you have.
