First off, I love the WD forum over the Barb and Wiz forums.  The feedback seems to be more complete, and less hostile than the other forums.    No offense to the other forums, but just what I've noticed.

I'm a very fresh 60 WD, not even through Inferno yet.  This is due to time, not difficulty.  My gear is not too bad, but I know I can make it better with a few replacements.  

My goal is to run the Acid Rain build to Paragon level in MP1, and then slowly switch up the MP higher and higher as my gear and Paragon levels go up.  I like the WD over the Wiz because I've died like 2 times in Inferno compared to 100s on my Wiz... so much easier to maintain a constant flow.  

What can I do to improve my Acid Rain build, gear wise? (and build wise too)  Any advice would be much appreciated.  My budget right now is 7 million, so pretty weak.  Thanks for reading this far!!

Hi yo hello
First tip for fresh WD is to make them aware that mana is their primary source of dps. Once you are OoM life sucks.

With acid rain you would preferably stay on low MP at all times. It dosent do enough damage for its mana cost for the higher MPs. And there are several threads on this very forum about different kinds of Acid Rain builds.

Build; use vengeful spirit  instead of soul to waste. Drop Grasp of the Dead for horrify;stalker

Gear; same old same old more main stat and crit/crit damage.

Thanks for the reply! I'll switch it up to a bear build once I'm ready to up the MP, but with my limited play time it might be awhile out yet.

Any advice on what piece to upgrade next?

Your gear a pretty good allready, but if I had to make a choice I would go for a Zunima's pox (ring) and Zunima's vision (helmet) since the full bonus for Zunima's is a bit of a standard for Witch Doctors. You'll benefit from the mana regeneration too.

As Rumfy said, prio 1 sould be to get 4 pc set bonus. You will have much less OOM.
Sell your lacunis and pants and get an inna pants + 6crit bracers with AR +stats. You will have very similar stats and net 3.5 crit for a relatively small investation.
Witching hour will boost alot too.
You dont need IAS as the casting speed is limited to manaregen anyway so dont overpay for a trifecta gloves, you are better with crit CD int. Sell that gloves and get 1 with high crit some CD high INT and AR if you can afford.

If you want to go high MP u should get elite dmg reduction on your zuni chest + a litany ring (read this: http://www.diablofan...r-mp10reflects/ ), and LS on your weapon.

Gear looks OK
I'd swap out pyrogeist for sacrifice with pride rune.
If' you're doing low MPs, drop gargantuan all together, he's simply not needed.
If you insist on pets, dogs with final gift would be better as you're using circle of life which will provide you a lot of dogs and health globes for mana and GF power.

As for higher mps, I actually have a completely different set of gear.  And the build changes drastically too.  The build I'm using now is absolutely too glassy for higher MPs.
