Questions about wizard gear? Helpful tools? Common wizard builds? What gear for my follower? And what is a black weapon?
Answers to these and many other questions in the Wizard Gear Guide.

no, wat im saying is why would anyone buy the lower tier gems at this point and crafting them to higher tiers? does it even add up? i know before it was worth it cuz back then radiant emerald was like 30m and flawless square was only 1500 gold.
you can buy a radiant emerald for 22m on the ah, you don't even save anything crafting it urself.

EU right now: Flawless Square: 10k | Radiant Star: 28.5m | Tome of Secrets: 700g
So base cost for one: 23,831,700 gold and AH break even price: 28,037,996 gold
looks fine to me.
During the period of 30m-1.5k eihter the tomes costed a ton or it was highly profitably to craft them yourself, you decide.

The combining cost of making these upper level gems should *always* be cheaper than buying them on the AH. Anyone who sells them for less on the AH is either cheating (lower cost to make) or selling at a loss (and can't remain in business for long)

I try to craft my own grand gems and sometimes I miss a few lower gems, so then I need to buy them.
But I would not buy them in hundreds. I will probably buy the big ones when I got the gem achievements and the gold.

That's not necessary true. If the demand for something goes down, it doesn't matter how much it takes to craft it. If most of the player base already has all of the perfect emeralds they need, it makes perfect sense that excess perfect emeralds will cost less than the craft cost. The more emeralds in existence, the less they are going to be worth due to demand - damn "production costs".

i'm on the us server. right now radiant emerald is 21m on the AH. flawless square emerald is 5800, and tome is 720 gold. if you buy every materials going from flawless square to radiant stars, using the calculators, you would save only around 350k gold. *this is also without counting the jeweler's plan.

i'm certain at this point there's no profit to be made for crafting the gems yourself and trying to sell them on ah. after 15% cut, u lose money. so why go through all those clicking and process getting all the materials just to save 350k gold?
EU gems and items prices are more expensive cuz gold worth less there. 1m = .25 euro. while on the us right now, 1m = .38 dollar.

How many people do you know that have dozens of perfect emeralds that just quit and are looking to offload them for gold anyway? (give them my battletag
