I was wondering what people thought about using a good Maximus http://us.battle.net...en/item/maximus with Sweeping Wind runed Fire Storm. That rune increases the radius of Sweeping Wind and changes the damage type to fire. Maximus can add up to 25% to fire damage.

a nice idea, but i checked the AH. i can't get a similar maximus to my skorn.

you will lose up 100-200% critdamage, which i think is huge. i don't think it's worth it but it's definitely not the worst option
maximus does not roll that high dps, the stats are really rare to get and you can have only two of the three: dex, socket, critdamage

the best one i found was for 1,5m gold with 1224dps / 532dex / 161% critdamage / 15% fireskilldamage
for the money - it's great. but i think a skorn is unreachable. for 5mio you will get an aaaawesome skorn with more critdamage and a socket.

on top of that, i run with "inner storm" to get the 3 spirit regen, which works really well for me on mp0. without it i'd have to stop - but well, you might as well get an awesome skorn.

i bought a Maximus for my Enchantress.  so when i use her she gets a demon to help clean up what my TR doesnt one shot.

i'd like to see a summoner build item wise, enchantress and your character with maximus's.... and the ring set that summons skeletons too... all on a wd with all da pets... lol... stuff be spawning all ova! heh

might just do this with crap gear for mp0 hah

I got one on a drop from a monster, they aren't very good. You could give it to your follower I suppose, that's about all they are good  for.

Maybe next patch they will fix the Monk set weapon to not be so crappy and add 2 handers that we will actually use.  Buuuut that is doubtful.

I used it for a while, along with a lvl 17 legendary called "MageFist". Magefist adds another 20% damage to fireskills (aka Firestorm rune for SW)

It was a fun build but the DPS is just so low that it becomes more of a gimmicky build than an efficient one.
