Getting to the point where any upgrade is going to cost me 50m-100s of millions and I was curious which source I should use as an Archon user!

Keep in mind if you get your APS/CC/CD high enough WoF seems to do more dmg than Disint.

Don`t roll into it!

Archon: Triumvirate + black weapon. Well, it's great for paper DPS anyway.

Triumvirate with black weapon should beat out a Chanto as Archon since char sheet dps is all that matters with regards to dps stats.

Chanto set is really good for CMWW where IAS is more important than char sheet dps.

Pardon my ignorance, but why exactly is Triumvirate better with a black weapon as opposed to an elemental one?

cause these stats don't buff the elemental damage part of a weapon, only the physical/black (as it's called because of the black background, I assume):
  • Adds 5-6 % to Fire Damage

Because the "Adds x% [ELEMENTAL] damage" affix only applies to physical damage, so if you have an elemental weapon it only applies to the non-elemental portion, meaning you get less benefit from the OH. The same applies to similar affixes on Zuni boots, SoJ, Tal amulet, or other items.

Ahhh, interesting, thanks!

Only use chantodos if you need to reach a certain APS. Like 2.73 for CM/WW.

Triumvirate is all out DPS, has higher potential for such.

Does this elemental damage thing also applies to poison damage?

Because im finding my zuni boots are behaving oddly.

Example: chantodo weapon equiped (not a black weapon)

firewalkers with 200 int equiped 180k dps
zuni boots with 180 int and 6% poison damage 185k dps
(these numbers are just an example im not home dont know the exact values but is something like that)

why is this?

6% poison of zuni applies to the physical part of chantodo (base dmg), and that increment is greater than the benefit from the 20 int. So you get higher dps with zuni.

Hey all, just wanted to point out that a Triumvirate with APOC is really cheap.

I only say this because I was looking into a Chantados for a lot of the reasons above, but was going to lose a lot of DPS. So I searched for a triumvirate with APOC just to see and I found a really nice one that only lowered my dps 4k (@170k) and added 10 APOC for 10 Mil. (there were ones ranging from under a mil and up as well)

I know it doesnt have IAS, but its a great option for those not wanting to invest in the Chantados set yet, or dont have the funds.
