So I just got the new iPhone 5...and well i forgot to write down my old authenticator.  So I tried to restore it and this doesnt work.  Now not only can i not play, but i cannot sign into battlenet b/c it requires my authenticator.  What do I do?  or am i stuck until I can get someone on the phone for support?

Doesn't seem like it.

Have you tried the official forums? There are actually similar threads and they recommend calling the hotline. I'd try this if I were you.

Questions about wizard gear? Helpful tools? Common wizard builds? What gear for my follower? And what is a black weapon?

Answers to these and many other questions in the Wizard Gear Guide.

you will have to call blizzard and send em copy of your ID to reset your authenticator....also authenticator APP desynchronize if your phone run out of battery and you will have to do the same thing too, i strongly recomment you to use a physical authenticator for this reason

I was wondering if that was the thing to do.  I just dont want to have to carry it around.  If i get a physical authenticator do u think it would sink with the one on my phone or be different  OR can you even have both?

there's no reason to get a physical authenticator, if you dont suddenly change phones. if it is not synchronized anymore, you just press the sync button and it works again :) happens every few months to me.

just follow blizzards instructions on this - on battle.net!
just go to blizzard, they are really nice and quick about it. they have foolproof descriptions and sometimes even videos or a lot of pictures.

I just tried that link and it worked.
They sent me a code on my phone and now my battle.net has no authenticator attached.
I think you did something wrong. Try it again.
