Sounds like he defeated you in (mental) combat and upon your defeat you dropped shiny loots for him.  Pretty sure that's what this game is about.

I'm truly, deeply sorry for the loss of your amulet. But the only thing I could think of when I read this...

I'm so sorry.

But the lack of common sense here is just so mind-numbingly baffling that I cannot think of a properly constructed response other than...

What the hell were you thinking? This isn't an exploit. This is you clearly being utterly foolish. It's like a black hole that sucks common sense away appeared before you and you just keeled over and accepted it.

Accept this advice. The only, only, only, only, ONLY time I EVER drop an item on the ground is with the full intention of giving the item away for free.

Anyway, gg.

Sounds like PBKAC or ID-ten-D error.

Scam yes, Exploit no. He just scammed you into dropping an item and knows a way to prevent you from picking it up before he could. There's no exploit to it at all.

I feel sorry for you, but to be honest, why would you drop it on the floor, no matter what reason. I would never drop it on the floor even if it's just 100K item...

It's not an exploit. It's a scam though, so you should report it.

When something is fishy in a trade, just leave, don't be greedy.

Greed somehow interferes with common sense from time to time.

So, your greed was too damn high.. or you lack of common sense.

Probably a nice cocktel of both.

Good luck, I hope you are 15, otherwise, you are gonna have a bad time.

He told you to put the amulet on the ground and you didn't ask why? What was his reason?

OP. This comes under scamming. Contact Blizzard and leave it to them.

OT. Laughing at someone's misfortune is not good people. It could happen to you or your loved ones one day.
