Nope, there isn't. It's "by design", intended to last that long.
You know how long it takes mother earth to create a diamond?
The 20 minutes from 750-ish flawless squares to one radiant star are nothing compared to that ;-)
Questions about wizard gear? Helpful tools? Common wizard builds? What gear for my follower? And what is a black weapon?
Answers to these and many other questions in the Wizard Gear Guide.

Why we cant have a system where you chose what gem type you want to use as a starting point, what gem you want to create and the system tells you how many gems of the selected quality you need and how much gold will it cost?

We could use a lot more Tort Reform in the US in other fields as well.

This is exactly my thought. It gives you the chance to change your mind when making the gems. Not that you would but there are idiots out there that would ry foul if there were an option to create all gems and they accidentally clicked it.

Simply, combine gems as you find them and then it does not feel that boring

Yeah, I mean its not like they used a cube to constantly re-morph quality's of gems into a higher quality before or anything......

I didn't realise those idiots have a say in what goes into the game, like, say, the RMAH.
Or are the idiots you're referring to the D3 dev team?

Whos down? Just stating some observations I've made while playing D3. Bought the game, played it for a few months, tried supporting Blizzard the best I could but I can't anymore. Don't get me wrong, I still have faith for D3...only because I have so much respect for D1 & D2 and I've waited 10 years for D3.....Maybe in 6 months D3 will have more content, more skill diversity and more end-game gear balancing....oh and better UI.
The thing that bothers me though is when I compare D3 to some free2Play games. These Free2Play games make/made about 10% of what D3 made in the first week of release, yet they continously still offer updates. Ya sure you can say it isn't a monthly subcription so Blizzard owes us nothing more then the $60 game we bought. I must say I've lost a lot of respect for Blizzard and how they manage things. Lets hope for the sake of both D3's & Blizzard's future they get their heads in the game and fix their failure aka Diablo 3.
Sadly im too busy with life to be upset...if anything im sad. I get a few hours a week to relax and play a videogame of my choice. I wanted it to be Diablo 3...but it falls short. So I've switched games and keep an eye out on the forums for any updates that might bring me back.

So you play only a few hours a week. Have you leveled up all classes? Have you put together your Hellfire ring? Have you leveled a character in the paragon leveling system? You seem to hate the game because you feel it is built around the RMAH but to actually play through the entire game you don't need to buy any items. This was a thread about a general create gem option and you dumped some harsh words towards a company for their choice to offer a real money option to the game. It's just that, an option to the players. There are several folks here that have ignored the auction house and played through using the gear they find. It would seem to me that you are sad only because if it didn't bother you, you would not have taken the time to share how upset you are at the game here. No offense but maybe you never really gave the game a fair shake?

I'm more interested in who cloned her. She seems to pop up in every other thread on every Blizzard fansite I can find. Where are the vats? How did they fix the protein degeneration issue? Did they solve the problem of the limited lifespan of the full-grown organism? I MUST KNOW!

Im sorry if I didn't get my ideas across properly. Seems that there is so much negativity towards the game sometimes, that when someone like myself makes a comment, we get tossed on to the same boat, the cry baby boat. I guess I should of been more clear, so I'll try again. Please remember that this is my personal opinion of how I feel.
I was a dedicated player on release. I rememebr the good ol' inferno days of getting 1 shotted. Frustrating but awesome fun! I wasn't against the RMAH or GAH at the time but didn't use it because I didn't have the millions in gold or the experience for snipe bidding. I lvld up my wizard and farmed all my gear the good ol' way, then cleared inferno. So yes your right, the auction house isn't required. I have completed a ton of acheivements, lvld up all my heroes with decent gear. My main has over 150K dmg and the rest average around 50k-100k with all the required survival stats. They all have their hellfire rings and my main is lvl30 paragon. Low paragon lvl to some, but decent for me.
Im a fan of the Diablo series and I want Diablo 3 to shine and to be a great game. I still have hope! Yet I find myself getting tired of the game so im currenty an inactive player but remain active on the forums for new tasty updates to bring me back one day. If people still enjoy the game then thats great! To each their own. I personally feel Diablo 3 is lacking in content. I don't want an MMOrpg content obviously, but at this point I feel playing Diablo 2 is more viable then playing D3.
So where do I stand? Im not a hater....or a lover, but my heart still desires to love D3. So maybe a break is all I need? Im sorry if my comments said otherwise. Thanks for keeping the replies respectful and mature.
