Skorn or mh+triumvirate

I currently have a rather weak skorn, thinking about getting a 250 avg damage triumvirate and getting an 1100+ socket and crit damage mh. Main thing I will lose is a lot of life steal, is that acceptable? I currently farm MP0 because I am waiting for friends to gear up for Ubers so my main problem is dealing with reflect packs.
Kind of curious how good my my and trium would have to be to outweigh he skorn.

If you have the money, I would definitely recommend switching to 1H+OH; you get 8-10% crit on your offhand which is extremely useful for your Critical Mass passive. To find out how much exactly you need, use a spreadsheet (see Loroese's sig... damn Loroese, you were like 10 seconds faster).

My wizard:
http://us.battle.net...82/hero/6158369
Noteable things:
•only 85.5k dps unbuffed, still 1 shot all white mobs with Archon's (teleport) beam
•24% movespeed for obvious reasons
•cheap mainhand (100k) with black (physical) damage for triumvirate to give me huge dps
•Blood magic on magic weapon for reflect protection
•life on kill - this stat is very good imo for mp0 archon wizards since you kill so much stuff and it dies so fast, if you are fighting
some reflect mobs and you are dying, just aim your beam at some white mobs and get healed
•using unstable anomaly to prevent death - remember that dying is the #1 way to slow your run, it's much better to never die than it is to have 15% more dmg from glass cannon, unless you never die with glass cannon
I personally like having a 1h + source because it allows you to have a fast attack speed so that when you do mess up, you can crit mass your way back into archon in a small amount of time.
p.s. The amount of damage a monster can reflect to you is based on your defensive stats and how much health they have. Bloodmagic + lots of health/resist/armor will allow you to tank out a reflect mob. You will have to pay more to get your vit up while keeping your DPS (int), but it's probably a lot cheaper than getting a huge DPS weapon with lifesteal

Core of Arreat (wherever Azmodan is)
Tower level 1
Keep depths 1 (if not 5 stacks)
keep depths 2
Core of Arreat 2
Bridge
It seems like a really bad route. The only + exp I have is in a Mempto that I paid way too frigin much for

I was getting 10-12m per hour using a star ruby in my helm and hellfire ring for oh and a hellfire ring on my folllower for 67% exp boost.
I assume you have atleast a star ruby in your helm?

What mp are you running? Have you tried lowering the MP if you're not already at MP0? Have you tried the scramble and teleport runes for storm armor and archon? Those are good ways to speed up runs.

You are probably just not focusing on XP/hour as you run.
Are you:
picking up blues or every Pot and Tome?
turning back often to break barrels/open small chests?
turning back often to kill single targets (worms, demons who jump up after you pass etc.)?
Focusing on keeping Archon up (to include respeccing if necessary)?
If you die, or hit a dead end, do you run back, or go to the next area on your run?
If you are doing any of these things, it can greatly effect your run. If you are doing several of them, it will kill your XP/hr.
I run Kaiser runs, but clear all of keeps, and clear both fields.
My "playstyle" is starting at Azmodon spawn, clear back to waypoint, then go to the top (arreat crater LVL 1) and start my way down. Only things I skip is Cursed level 2. If I die, or hit a dead end at the "bottom" and "top" of that area, I immediately port and continue the run. You can use this same strategy for keeps.
The bottom line is, you have to mazimize uptime of killing. hitting a dead end and running back is a killer to the run. And dying and running through cleared areas is really bad as well. Focus on just getting XP/Hour. The fun part about it, is the only way you can increase XP/Hr is by getting more kills. Which equals getting more drops. It only makes sense.
Im not the best farmer, but I get 20mil/hr with about 140k dps. Also, I dont use scramble because I dont get hit enough. I time my runs and look at the XP/hr to see the effects of spells/MP level/gear etc. Scramble added almost no value. Everything dies too fast.
And just a side note, for me I get more XP/hr on MP 1 or 2. Running slow-time Archon (helps me a lot so I can run without Prismatic armor or blur etc.) I get 200k DPS buffed, and elites die in seconds. trash is all 1-hit. 24% run speed is key.
