Hey All,

This got me thinking the other day, when me and some friends were farming Uber Bosses they didnt seem to have an enrage timer Have I missed a blue post about this The fight went on for just over 10 mins before we killed them.

From what I can remember when I was testing them out on the PTR, they had an 8 minute enrage timer witch leads me to one of three conclusions:
A. They have removed the enrage timer.
B. It has been increased to longer than 8 mins or this case 10
C. Its some type of bug

If you have any light to shed on this subject then ill be please to hear about it

Cheers.

I'm not sure what the timer is set for, but about a week ago we had it go off during an MP7 fight against Uber Siege (thanks to a couple of lousy Malaysian DH's). My Monk and my friends Monk fought (and killed) Siege for what had to be a solid 90 seconds with enrage timers floating over our chars.

Same here on mp7 when fighting ubers with kulle. He enrages but without a symbol over our chars. Het just teleports on your face and you die.

Which uber bosses did you fight for 10 mins? They should all have 8 minutes enrage timer, but there are different results for the encounters' difficulty.

-Ghom just farts more poison clouds; however, Rakanoth will (just like on normal) instantly kill you after 8 minutes
-Magdha and Leoric have more damage output and use their skills more often afaik, however, the bigger threat here is definitely Leoric with his WW attacks
-Kulle's enrage lets the ceiling collapse at a rate which is almost impossible to survive. He should be killed before the 8 minutes timer and besides Rakanoth he's the only "fixed enrage" that will kill you. Siegebreaker will drain your life - but my DH friends told me that there's some range to it (so it's not simply more damage reflect) and they can stand "out of range". So if you have a decent tank, Siegebreaker's enrage should be no problem (however, it's not just one enrage but the life drain increases over time, so there's a limit)

Not completely sure on all of these; there was a similar discussion on another forum and this is just what I remembered. Haven't come close to the enrage timer recently, so if anyone has an update/correction it would be interesting to know.

Was Magdha and Leoric I thought the enrage timer would have started as soon as the cinematic is skipped and you would get the little skull and bones icon above your head that apply a very nasty DOT for all 3 uber bosses.

I've been looking for official info about the enrage timer, but with no luck. On battle.net forum people claim the enrage time is 15mins and the only one who can insta kill you is kulle.
I know it's a sh!tty source but i got to post it right? ^^ http://us.battle.net...opic/7005432553

Hm. The other bosses definitely have enrage timers, too. They just work differently (some will kill you, some don't matter). Kulle and Rakanoth are the two that are definitely lethal, the others depend on your setup (e.g., with CMWW I can stunlock Ghom such that there isn't a single cloud for the entire fight, so it doesn't really matter how much he wants to fart and thus his poison cloud enrage is pointless to me).

It's interesting that there are different times being mentioned. Maybe it's always 5 minutes and on higher MPs +1 or 2 minutes or so per MP? Would be interesting to do some research. But I'm afraid my group wouldn't be interested in wasting 10-15 minutes on ubers... and I don't have that many machines to try it on my own, still want a good Hellfire Ring ;-)

To back up what Bagstone said it is possible to tank SiegeBreaker for some amount of time through the enrage using LoH/LS. Myself and a cm wizard managed it for a while on mp6, I can't say exactly how long. We got him down to about 5% health before we eventually died. Had around 1500-1800 LoH.

It seems like Blizzard intentionally wants to keep some things in the dark for Diablo 3, this is why the EULA even says you're not allowed to acquire information other than that given by Blizzard (which is kind of ridiculous). For example, the enrage timer is something that is supposed to hit you by surprise if you're too slow, and nothing that should act like a countdown (if you compare it to certain WoW mods).

As a former WoW player, I miss that; going through the logs, building addons was fun. However, I think Diablo will never be like that, and I guess if I really want this back, I would need to go back to WoW (won't happen). Theorycrafting in D3 is to some extent a bit guesswork, though almost every mystery has been revealed by all the people who collect insane amounts of data :-)

Most likely because the usual blue posters don't even know how it works. there a re quite a lot of hidden mechanics and value that would be nice to know, but I guess only the developers (if even, heh) know about those.

This is one of my favorites, the blue edited his post but you can still see what he wrote further down in a quote.

Looks like the enrage timer for Kulle and siege is right :) Had another Run on MP7 and sure enough Kulle teleported to each of us and 1 shot-ed us didnt seem to notice the enrage on the others still seems a bit buggy.
