Hey folks, I have a few questions:

First, what is the priority of stats I should be looking for on WD gear to increase damage output? Obviously, Intelligence is #1, but what is next-best and third-best? Crit chance, crit damage, attack speed, what? (BTW, that is how I'm assuming the order goes.)

Second, how much Resist All do I need to "progress" from MP3 through to MP6-7? I am in the 500-600 range right now and I am wondering if I can cut that back and focus more on damage-increasing stats.

Finally, a link to my character's profile is below; from where I'm at now, what are the cheapest slots to upgrade for the most damage increase?

Thanks!

With my old gear (which is shown at the moment) mp5 was a healthy challenge but I didn't feel like it was too slow.  The gear should update sometime soon.  I just bought a vile ward and new bracers.  As I was saying earlier though, mp5 is comfortable for me, not a rolfstomp but still fun. (the new gear did make mp5 easier too)

What's best for offense, or for that matter, defense, depends on your current gear.  Int isn't necessarily #1, you want a good blend of all stats since they multiply off each other.

A notable exception is attack speed.  Most higher end WDs are using bears, and mana is always an issue with bears, so attack speed will just make you run out of mana faster.  It will inflate the "damage" number in  your character screen, but epeen size doesn't matter.

Thanks for the info on attack speed, Bilge; checking out your profile (linked in your sig) was also a big help gear-wise, as you seem to have a good setup.

Can anyone else answer my original questions about Resist All amounts or cheap upgrades? Thanks!

Your int and crit are a bit low relative to your crit damage, so bumping them would be great.  Your left ring and helm are prime slots to get some crit, but a decent zuni helm with crit isn't cheap.

There's no set amount of resists to have, but I think 700 unbuffed seems like a good and attainable number to shoot for.

My only other comment on your gear is that as you gear up you'll find that leech returns all the health you need, allowing you to ignore LoH in other slots which makes other gear easier to find and afford.  You don't have much LoH and you have no leech so I'd suggest looking into a weapon with leech, even if it's just something cheap and temporary, to swap in for difficult situations.

Thanks again, Bilge. I recently switched out a Manajuma's Carving Knife/Serpent off-hand combo to try the Skorn; I'm thinking I'm going to go back but switch the off-hand to Thing of the Deep for the PuR increase.
