I was wondering, if Blizzard is working on anything, we have no news, no: "hey!, we are balacing skills!", or... :"hey, we are improving legendaries!".

Any news about anything?

Well... This isn't a subscription-based game so we're not to expect constant additions to the game. The only thing really left is PvP, which is already in the works.

Personally I'm fine with the game's current state, other than the lack of PvP and occasional reports of people duping/hacking.

It needs pvp and it needs the next expansion to add anything substantial. I am excited for both when they show up.

And even with that, we got a full rework on legendaries, a separate lvling system (for those who love the grind), a full rework on the AH search system, an entire "side quest" that has the potential to roll the best ring in the game (you gotta be damn lucky) and a full rework of the crowd control system. In a few months.

I'm also pretty happy with where we are now. I find it funny how big profile guys like Force, Kripparian and Athene made videos wanting precisely the kind of content that was added, and still they haven't really played the game a lot.

Which strenghtens my theory back then that most of the complaints were just from people jumping on the hate bandwagon. They were in all honesty not going to really "enjoy" the things they wanted so badly. -_- I personally hate that attitude, specially from people who shape people's opinions like them, because that plague spreads really fast.
Work in progress :)

The game as it is now has vastly improved from when i first started playing, i have very few complaints and still feel something is lacking. On the whole i think id like;

More random side quests.

More items, and more item types.

greater depth within the skill system.---more synergies

Secondary attributes.

Open exploration.

For me the game is now has now met my basic expectations,--its very enjoyable to play on a day to day basis.  post release that was certainly not the case. Now im hoping they will come up with something that will blow me away.

I disagree, there is still a lot of work to be done on other things than just PvP.

For example, Crafting currently is in an abysmal state and really needs a long hard look into. The amount of tweaking that can go into crafting can take several large patches (i.e. 1.0.x) to get to the point where it's actually a sufficient system to use.

I do not wish them to release PvP without at the very least looking briefly into crafting and lowering the gold cost substantially.

Additionally there still needs to be a lot of general tweaking of the game and improved quality of life changes.

In 1.0.5, for me the big changes such as the introduction of monster power and uber bosses were important, but at the same time little changes such as the the legendary notifications, AH right click search, double legendary/set drop rate, items based on mlvl, no more under ilvl 58 level drops inferno, etc were also all very important changes, in some ways more important to the longevity of the game.

I would like to see a lot more quality of life changes before PvP is released, such as an identify all button and a craft all button.

The biggest change I would probably like the Diablo 3 team or maybe Blizzard's Battle.net Team to implement is to adopt the new SC2 HOTS Battle.net system to Diablo 3.

I would at the very least like the introduction of the ability to name my own multiplayer games as they are currently doing with SC2 HOTS, the clans and grouping concepts that is happening on SC2's Battle.net are important as well and will really help solidify/organize D3's community.

If everything goes smooth (as most changes have been so far), we should be seeing changes in Crafting (as some have mentioned), more work on Legendaries (that's imho though, not general consensus as crafting), additional skill/passives/runes Tuning (that's for sure), and the oh-so-waited PvP (which will create a huge numbers of new issues - people complaining about how "x" isn't fair, and "x" can be a skill/item build, a class, a specific ability, the matchmaking system, etc.)

They aren't going to announce any of that though until they have some proper defined content to show us. They don't want to promise something and leave us hanging (hey there, Mystic!).
Work in progress :)

quit the game already or still farming keys fo crappy ring?

before the expansion hits, they will not change anything about crafting. imagine that this hellfire event was probably something they were planning on adding with an expansion and therefore was already done way before 1.05 hit the servers. We will see some minor tweaks and adjustments prior to pvp and thats gonna be about it until they announce the addon.

When I feel the urge to smash some demons , I login , do a quick run and logout ... the whole story. Don't care what Blizzard is planning or not .

There is absolutely nothing else to be doing in Diablo 3 , nothing .
No trade games
Barely anyone in chat , lack of social aspect , totally .
You grind for Ah? then what? I want to play D3 not Ah 3.
Crafting? everything costs you gold , nothing like finding items and combining them (cube , d2 ). Just read how many things u can do with the cube .
Doing random magic find runs? oh , you can't .. you must fight the same path all over again looking for elites ..
Finding gear gives absolutely no satisfaction , no one to share/trade with .. just sell it for gold or real money <- not diablo game .
PVP - I dont care for pvp , but for those who do care.. there is no pvp yet and who knows when there will be.

My point is : game is dying and blizzard knows it ... that's why they are silent .

As for me , I don't whine ... I just wait for new Diablo 2 ladder :>

Ubber pessimistic post crits for 950% DMG!

Still, some points are valid thou..

I think there are more important things before PvP to do yet in the game.

What somehow, worry me, is the radio silence.

What would you consider to be your most important things to change (even before PvP)? Crafting has already been mentioned, and I'm sure you'd enjoy a non-AH mode, with better drop ratios, so you can count that one out in your reply as well ;) just wondering if people have other ideas of what should be fixed in the game currently.

I'd like to have Act 4 always give you 3 NV stacks for starters, and improved monster density throughout the Acts.

After all they've done to the crowd control system (which wasn't even a huge community concern but was an obvious issue), I wouldn't worry about it. I'm sure they're working on something.
Work in progress :)

The lack of a social aspect is definitely an issue. When they announced the new improved battle net i imagined new improved social functions, but in terms of the ability and incentives to socialise and play with each other the user interface and design is worse than D2.

Of course the 4 player game limit has not helped the situation, Friends functions have improved. Chat is abit easier to manoeuvre.  But on the whole its pretty lacking.

What do people do together D3?

In D2 you power levelled together, Trist runs, tomb runs, chaos runs, Baal runs, cow runs. Got rushes from high level characters, Ubered, if you wanted to get to 99 or even 80-90 for that matter you had to play with other people.

The very nature of D2 Encouraged community play, as a Cold sorceress it was almost impossible to complete hell by yourself due to cold immune's. You either had to have multiple kinds of damage, or play with other people. IF you wanted to be a super powered cold sorc you had to play with other people. D3 with its class balancing has destroyed this kind of specialisation Vs diversification problem and the social and economic implications which resulted, everyone can farm everywhere, every item drops everywhere.( excluding key runs which have brought back some d2 flavour---and everyone loves)

Monster power(while i like it) has further worsened this issue.

The social implications of D3 are individualised play which is fun to a point, PVP will increase socialisation and co-operation and hopefully bring back some of the lacking social aspect. But at this point socialising is completely unnecessary. and alot of fun is lost because of this.

For these reasons i think that, individualised game names would be great rather than auto matching depending on quest alone. What if id like someone to rush my low level and a high level character wants a chance to show-off, chill and shoot the wind...? its just not going to happen the way the multi-player interface works right now.

While some of your whines are perfectly valid opinions (opinions, mind you, not facts), this one is pure nonsense.

In what possible universe does D3 force you to "fight the same path all over again looking for elites" to do a magic find run?

You feel that you must run a certain specific zone because the mobs are a tiny bit more densely packed than the second-densest zone? Do you realize what a tiny, tiny difference that is compared to magic-find runs in D2, where nobody ever ran anything except a short, short list of bosses?

Why do ppl keep justifying Diablo 3 flaws by comparing it to Diablo 2?... it's a logical fallacy, and nothing else.
