I really get sick of all these elititist #@$% acting like this game should be played like we're for-profit efficiency machines. Most people here have never seen a hundred million gold. Many people here would likely consider similar boots as an upgrade.

If you want to dream that's up to you but many of us who farm more efficiently don't have time to pick up the trash and to say that your decent roll spits in our faces is a bit too presumptuous.

Well, I am EU so no idea about US, though what I can say that for those stats. You can buy similar boots for like 300k the last time I checked. You may be correct that there isn't many i60's there with those stats. But the point in this topic for me at least was that which item levels has biggest potential being good for selling nor being good upgrades. Your argument in my mind was invalid, since those boots that you used for example doesnt fit in on neither categories

I really doubt the EU market is as dumb as the US to the point where boots like those are worth nothing.

Find me Boots like those for my Dex characters (and let me know if you find those for Int/Str as well) and I'll gladly pay 1 mil each, you can have the 700k bonus gold if you find them for 300k.

I do apologize for being a bit rash. I just find some people a bit.... pedantic about the game sometimes.

In regard to grinding for Legends....brother, I've found so many Legends I can't count them anymore. Yesterday I logged in to start my Act 3 run. Hadn't killed anything yet, zero NV and I accidentally ran into a Gob...had to kill the bastard. He drops a Tyrael's Might.

No sockets of course, making it worth far less than those i60 boots I found later. With 3 sockets of course, Tyraels is worth assloads. After finding what I can only guess is 40+ Legends, my biggest GAH sale to date is 16.5 mil gold (i62 Rare). That White Whale item eludes me, so I check every 60+ just in case. As it was, those boots beat out the Blackthorne's I had been using by a mile.

I was just making a point that inevitably  people will miss great finds if they narrow their search to such a short list. I'm sure those sporting hundreds of millions in their accounts may not find cause to search so thoroughly, but I have reason to.

In closing I would love to see a screen shot of similar 220 Dex Dual Res trifecta MS boots for anywhere even remotely close to 1million listed on any regions GAH. Provide a screenshot and I'll eat crow. HINT; It's not going to happen.

There are exactly 14 listed meeting the criteria (and I didn't even include the dual resistance) and the cheapest start at 9mm with no buyout (single AR mod, no dual res).

2 handers, quivers, and shields.  Oh and spirit stones.  I have never ever gotten one that had dex.  For some reason I guess monks at one point were an Int class cause every single one I have found always has Int on it.

I still pick 'em all up, with the odds (for me) somewhere around 1:500-1:1000 to getting something worthwhile i can't stand leaving the potential money on the ground. If i'm in the right (wrong?) mood i still pick up blues, destroy them and craft some 6-prop items just for the fun...

Even if there are many legendaries out there that can easily destroy most mediocre rares even with bad rolls i like to play the odds of getting something way better than any legendary.

To be clear, I wasn't trying to celebrate what I thought was a 2billion gold score. I was just offering some hope to people out there that may pass up items such as Doom Treads because they maybe mistakenly think there is no way they could roll with any value.

I was excited because I scored a serious upgrade off of a drop (which is rare). I could sell these for 10-20 million without even a days wait.

If item is at ah for like 20millions, that doesn't mean that someone will buy em. I would never buy a low dex boots with dual res for 50 millions. As a monk you can grab 270 dex ones with single resist and profit a lot more. As you can see from my posts I have said only things about how I have felt towards your item, jesus get a grip.

Poor me (us? some of us?), a noob that still "wastes time" having fun with multiple "useless skills/builds" and "shitty items/affixes", while picking up all blues to vendor and all yellows (post 1.0.5) in case they roll good affixes, and that enjoys playing public games even though I can "farm" on MP 4+, because having fun is more important than optimizing an aspect of my life that's supposed to be a not-so-serious hobby.

Thank god I don't suffer from that "modern gamer" pathology.

I was just sharing with this community evidence that, in fact, you can profit from taking your time and searching through the rubbish. I was told that I'm wasting my time, those boots are worth 1 mil tops etc. I showed that was way off. I was told I was wasting my time because while I'm id'ing shitty rares, I could be looking for Legendary items, as if I'm not doing that also.

You guys wanna see my epic crop of Legs for the day? What I could've found more of had I not stopped to pick up those fucking sweet i60 boots?

Of course people often enter their asking price akin to wishful thinking, we all know this. What was said earlier implied that any jackoff with a million coins that wants similar boots could saunter into the GAH and pick from a vast selection. The point isn't what you, personally, are looking for. The point is what are those exact values worth. You saw I was right and changed the values in your search so as not to look foolish. I would claim your attempt has failed.

None of this is off-topic. It is the topic. People want to pride on about how they're above picking up such things. I had a little fun showing what they're missing by exercising such a hurried attitude.

Haha, I know that feeling. Got the legendary pillar of light on a wizard hat this morning. Heart rate sped up with excitement. And then I ID'd a Storm Crow that was considerably worse than the cheapest one on the AH - which was selling for a buyout of 12,000 gold.
